We had the good fortune of connecting with Meagan Schreiber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meagan, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
That I am capable, strong and can do hard things. Being a business owner taught me to further trust myself and be humble. The lessons are tough and never ending but so valuable.

What should our readers know about your business?
I was running a popular blog and was coaching postpartum moms, one question I was asked constantly was about skin issues. I wanted to create a do-it-yourself blog for moms to make their own skincare but postpartum moms don’t need something else to do, that is their moment to rest and rebirth themselves. So I decided that I would start my own company. It was a way I could still support moms but grow in my own personal journey as well. Challenges arise all the time in a small business, like back to back. As I wouldn’t necessarily say I have advice on how to overcome them, it’s more of a mindset. What I mean is that I don’t let them debilitate me as much anymore, I have learned to quickly problem solve. My brand would not exist without my community, Middle Tennessee and beyond shows up daily for me. I am moved and brought to tears regularly by the support and love I receive. Without them, I just simply would not exist and I am forever grateful each and every one.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a sucker for a beautiful scenic drive so I would go to Bold Wind Coffee in Lobelville and then have my kids play at the playground behind the coffee shop. I would absolutely book massages and a spa day at Boro Health and Wellness Spa in Murfreesboro, it’s one of my favorite places ever, so peaceful and relaxing. I would go to the Franklin Factory for Mojos Tacos and Jeni’s Ice Cream. I would go to Vida Nova Coffee and then second hand shopping in the Columbia Arts District and shop at Glover’s Secondhand (hopefully on a Saturday they have the flea market too), followed by a pho dinner at South Ahan. And I can’t forget about a delicious meal at Loveless Cafe. I’m a foodie, anywhere with delicious food and great company and you got me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Rhonda Velez (Rhonda Velez.com) is my business mentor and friend. She has helped me walk through ups and downs, wins and losses and creates a safe space for me to have opportunities to grow. Rebecca Whisten is my right hand. As a creative, I’m not always the best at the behind the scenes, computer work and does all the operations. My family helps in every way possible. Whether it’s hands on or emotional support, I couldn’t do this without them, especially since I work so hard for them. They are my world.
