Meet Suzanne Igoe | Esthetician and Med Spa Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Suzanne Igoe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Suzanne, how do you define success?
When I wake up and I am happy to go to work, finding hope in each day. Success is not a number, it is a feeling. I find success in my staff doing well, and becoming successful in their careers.
Also, when my clients are happy with their results.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets us apart? We use quality products in both ends of our business, in the front end and back bar. I DO NOT cut corners on what we use on our clients.
We are unique in our care for our clients. It goes beyond the spa room to following up after each service to insure their comfort and happiness and that piece of our customer service has not changed since the day I opened in 2011.
Results are the backbone of our business. We log treatments through notes and photos to track our clients progress along the way, and therefore easily make the correct changes to reach their goals. With transparency, honesty, and budget always in mind.
Some lessons I have learned?
Comparison is the THIEF of JOY. Truly words to live by. It is hard as business owners, others can attest to this. You can’t help but compare your offerings and results to others. It is a lesson I had to learn. We live in our NOW not theirs. Stay true to yourself, follow your own line of passion, and it all works out.
Our brand is learning, kind, honest and transparent.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First, a hot yoga class at Southern Soul. My absolute favorite Yoga Studio. Then, breakfast at Mean Mug on the Northshore. They have the BEST biscuits in town!
A short drive up lookout Mountain for a hike on the Trucker Trail. This one is my favorites because we can take our dog Olive, who loves running through the woods under a canopy of trees.
That evening go have an authentic Levantine dinner at Calliope. The atmosphere and food are amazing.
The next day take a stroll down Frazier Avenue and visit my favorite gallery, the In-Town Art Gallery. I love the community here. You get a chance to talk to the local artists and learn about their process and work.
That evening go for drinks at the Whiskey Thief. On a beautiful day you can see the entire city. Absolutely gorgeous view. Walk through the city and eat at St. John’s Meeting Place. We LOVE this place. The atmosphere and food are consistently amazing.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a Shoutout to my life partner Laureen Schlecht. She gave me the courage and support to go off on my own in 2011. I would not be here without her. Thank you Love!
