We had the good fortune of connecting with Sierra Dawkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sierra, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson I’ve learned since I started my career has been to NEVER give up. I’ve been through many obstacles throughout my 13 year career span, but giving up is not an option. The beauty industry is growing and there is something new to learn everyday.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
For years I’ve been known as the “Growing Hands” stylist. I love and nurture my clients hair to keep it healthy and growing. To be known as that is an honor.

Ive gotten to where I am in my career today because of that and my professionalism. I treat every client/customer with respect and care. I show them that I care about their hair and educate them on how to take care of their crown when they leave me. It wasn’t all easy but with prayer, believing in myself, and the talks with my support system helps tremendously

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned since becoming a hairstylist is knowing what type of hairstyles are for me, knowing what category I fit in, and knowing which clients are long term and for the moment.

I want the world to know here at Hair Majesty we will ALWAYS cater to our clients/customers needs. Client satisfaction is our top priority and we thrive on great customer service.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom, sisters and my clients. Without them I wouldn’t be where I am today. The motivational talks, texts and being just one call away is what keeps me going. My mom pushes me everyday to believe in myself and my business. My sisters give me the motivation I need to keep going. My clients have become family and they support me no matter what. Im truly grateful to have them all in my corner.
