Meet Ranjit Chand | Deejay

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ranjit Chand and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ranjit, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
In the Entertainment industry, a lot goes on behind the scenes. I have to do a lot of preparation before any event. This prep work includes working on playlists, making light shows, and ensuring our gear is 100 percent working.
What should our readers know about your business?
Like most industries, the vendors in my industry are very similar. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and just my vibe with my clients. My one advice to everyone is to keep a smile on your face. Until today, I have very little advertising. The thing I am most proud of is the client/vendor referrals. It has not been an easy path. This industry, like many, is not perfect. The challenge is to get as close to perfection as possible. Mistakes in the world of entertainment happen all the time. The best thing you can do is learn from those mistakes and never let them happen again. I want the world to know that if I Deejay for you, I will treat it like my own event.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I travel all over the world in my Deejay Industry. When I am in Nashville, you can’t go wrong on Broadway. That is where my friends and I always end up. One of my favorite places to eat and drink is the Assembly Hall. It has a lot of variety in one place—the best place when friends want different things to eat but still be able to enjoy it together. Downtown Nashville is so beautiful. Everyone is so friendly. Bartenders are the best people to get advice from for city spots.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In my career, I have had an enormous support system. I want to dedicate my shoutout to those close family and friends who have helped me get to where I am now. Vendors from all over have helped grow this industry, and I can’t thank them enough. My wife is the rock in my life. She has always listened to any and all issues regarding deejaying. Last but not least, I would love to recognize my partner, Money Management. He goes above and beyond for all of our events.
