Hi Meyhanna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my own business was a culmination of a deeply personal journey and a passionate desire to make others feel as beautiful and confident as I did during my own salon experiences. My brand ethos was rooted in the transformative power of hair styling—a belief that a great hairstyle has the ability to uplift spirits and instill a sense of empowerment. While I initially toyed with the idea of offering a range of beauty services, including lash, nail, and makeup services, I soon realized that it was the art of hair styling that resonated most deeply with me and had the most profound impact on my clients’ self-esteem. Thus, I made the conscious decision to focus my efforts on becoming an expert in hair care and styling, channeling all of my creativity and energy into perfecting this craft and creating a brand that would be synonymous with quality, innovation, and above all, the celebration of beauty in all its forms.

My journey as a hairstylist in Nashville has been a deeply fulfilling one, marked by a commitment to authenticity and genuine connection with my clients. What truly sets me apart is my unwavering dedication to being myself, unapologetically, in every aspect of my work. From the moment a client sits in my chair, they’re not just receiving a service—they’re welcomed into a space where they’re embraced like family. Building trust and fostering a sense of comfort and ease is at the core of my approach. I believe in creating an environment where clients can let go of their worries and simply relax, knowing that they’re in capable hands. One of my proudest achievements is the evolution of my work ethic. Starting a business from the ground up is no small feat, and I quickly learned that success hinges not only on skill and talent but also on exceptional customer service and the ability to forge meaningful connections with clients. I’ve poured my heart and soul into honing my craft and ensuring that each and every client feels valued and prioritized. It hasn’t been an easy journey—there have been countless challenges, moments of doubt, and sleepless nights spent wondering if I would ever make it. But through sheer determination and an unwavering belief in myself and my abilities, I’ve persevered. Ultimately, my goal is simple: to make a positive impact on the lives of others through the art of hairstyling. I want the world to know me not just as a talented stylist, but as someone who works tirelessly to bring joy and happiness to others. Whether it’s through a stunning new hairstyle or simply a warm smile and a listening ear, I strive to make every interaction with my clients meaningful and memorable. My journey is far from over, but I’m grateful for every step of the way and excited to continue growing, learning, and making a difference in the lives of those around me.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When it comes to showing my friends around Nashville, I’m always excited to share some of my favorite local spots that truly capture the essence of the city. Starting with brunch, Noir is my absolute go-to. Not only is the food consistently delicious, but the cozy atmosphere feels like a home away from home—it’s reminiscent of the warm, comforting meals I grew up with. And for those in need of some relaxation and pampering, Escape Day Spa is the ultimate retreat. While it can be a challenge to snag a booking due to its popularity, the experience is well worth the wait. From soothing massages to rejuvenating facials, it’s the perfect way to unwind and indulge in some self-care. For lunch and drinks, I love exploring the diverse culinary scene that Nashville has to offer. Fine dining establishments like Del Frisco’s, Bourbon Steak, Harper’s, BrickTop’s, and Urban Grub are always at the top of my list. Whether you’re craving a gourmet burger or fresh seafood, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And after a satisfying meal, why not continue the evening with some nightlife? Places like Linq, Vibes, and Minerva offer vibrant atmospheres and plenty of opportunities to dance the night away or simply unwind with a cocktail in hand. Whatever the itinerary may be, I’m always eager to show my friends the best that Nashville has to offer and create lasting memories together.

Behind every successful journey, there are often unsung heroes whose support and encouragement propel us forward. For me, that unwavering source of inspiration and motivation has been my parents. Their belief in my abilities and their relentless push for excellence have been the driving forces behind my success. From a young age, my parents instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and resilience. They taught me to never settle for mediocrity and to always strive for greatness in everything I do. Their unwavering faith in my potential has given me the confidence to pursue my dreams and overcome any obstacles that stand in my way. But their impact goes far beyond mere words of encouragement. They have been my pillars of strength, offering unwavering support and guidance every step of the way. Whether it was lending a listening ear during moments of doubt or celebrating every milestone achieved, they have been my constant source of love and encouragement. I owe so much of my success to their sacrifices and dedication. They have made countless sacrifices to ensure that I had the opportunities and resources needed to pursue my passions and aspirations. Their unwavering belief in my abilities has fueled my determination to succeed, even in the face of adversity. So, to my parents, I offer my deepest gratitude and appreciation. Their unwavering support has been the foundation upon which I have built my success, and I am forever indebted to them for believing in me and pushing me to be the best version of myself.
