Meet Kevin Deschenes | Chef Kev D is one of the most sought after Private Chefs & Event producers in the country

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Deschenes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Hard work, there is no substitute for hard work, regardless if it’s in restaurants for 25 years or owning a Private Chef and Event production company, while working hard and honing your craft organic opportunities will present themselves as you are positioning yourself to be able to thrive in those opportunities.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Nothing came easy, 25 years of nights, weekends, holidays in a restaurant, becoming a Private Chef was the next natural progression to be able to still do what I love while having some control over schedule etc…
Having free reign of creativity as I create different menus based on location of events,
A different menu and different group of people every night keeps things fresh and exciting.
To stay successful you must have a mindset of “the bigger the opportunity the harder the work”
Regardless if it’s working with celebrities and athletes or producing an event at new venues, getting the opportunity is one thing follow through and execution is a whole different ball game
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Nashville I would send them to Analog at The Hutton to see a show, after a nice dinner visiting Chefs Maneet & Tom at Tànsuô and late night drinks at Electric Jane or Pushing Daisies
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
