Meet Jenner Kreifels | Executive Director, Folds of Honor Tennessee Chapter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenner Kreifels and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenner, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. I love this quote because it exemplifies strategic, hard work. If you’re prepared, and see an opportunity success is bound to come.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
For the past 3 years I have had the honor of being Folds of Honor Tennessee’s executive director. I am most proud of the cohesive board of directors we have in our territory who always put the mission before the man. I could not be more excited about our chapter’s trajectory and for the creative ways we continue to spread awareness and fundraise.
I have a strong passion for military support as I have three uncles who were Naval fighter pilots, and my grandparents on my mom’s side both served in the Navy too. Folds of Honor started as a volunteer opportunity for me in early 2021, and turned into a job that May. Helping lead this team has been a fantastic experience. It has not been easy, but has provided me so many lessons learned and experiences along the way for which I will forever be grateful. I would say the biggest thing I’ve learned so far and carry with me is how to lead, and be kind to everyone. Be someone that people want to do work with.
One thing I would love for people to know about Folds of Honor, is the immense impact the foundation has had on so many deserving families of our American heroes. Since 2007, Folds of Honor has provided over 52,000 scholarships, equaling $244MM in educational impact.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Nashville is the best city in the country! Visiting Broadway would be a must for live music in the Honky Tonks. Restaurants would have to be City House and Urban Grub. This city has something always going on. I think the best part about it is all of the different neighborhood vibes like The Nations, Germantown, and 12 South. There’s something for everyone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a shout out to my board of directors.
Without their mentorship, and dedication to our Folds of Honor mission of providing educational scholarships to fallen and disabled service members and first responders families, we would not be where we are today with providing nearly $4MM in educational impact since the Folds of Honor Tennessee Chapter’s inception in 2020.
Our chapter is one big family of people from all walks of life who genuinely have a passion for giving back to the families of the 1% who go out and protect the other 99%.
