Meet Danny Bader | Speaker, Author and Supporter of people on their journey of life

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danny Bader and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danny, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I understand what people mean when they say work-life balance and I think differently about balance. Balance is often listed as a value and I don’t think balance is a value. I’ve come to understand balance is a by-product of doing some work–it’s the joy, happiness, contentment, gratitude, and fulfillment which is created when you recognize your values, you write them down somewhere. They you must review them weekly and reflect on these values and identify the ones you say are a value, yet your daily life and the actions you take and the people you spend time with do not support your claim. You must then identify new actions you can begin to take and eliminate the actions not serving you. I’ve never seen social media listed as a value yet I see so many spending huge amounts of time engaged with it.
I guess my life has gotten better and I’ve grown because I no longer bitch about needing more balance, I simply get back to my values list, and struggle though the evolution I need to live more into these.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There are powerful principles which have been around for humans for a long, long time. Some are developing and maintaining strong relationships; staying positive and optimistic about life; doing work you love; harnessing the Spirit and power available us when we practice “being still”; staying healthy in mind & body; and believing and engaging with God, Spirit, Universe, Consciousness or whatever name you may call your source, your energy of life.
I do my best to always create content and offer these to others to support them. These are powerful principles and people must experience them in compelling and engaging ways–you can’t just “tell” people what to do. They must experience the principles at work and the value created for those who apply them.
I work to creatively remind, offer and educate people on these so as to make our lives better. I do this though my speaking, books and podcast.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A great week with a friend would entail exercise–gym, paddleboarding, hiking. I enjoy bundling time together with family and friends and exercise. I also like to head out to casual restaurants some food and a beer or glass of wine. It’s good to watch a ballgame or just hang out and talk about life, always encouraging, supporting and challenging one another. For me, I also like to head to Mass for some worship with family and friends.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife Lisa and children–Luke, Joey & Lizzy–are a strong source of support for me. I love them dearly and continue to grow into my best to love and serve them always. I also have a tremendous amount of family and friends who are wonderful people—plus all the new people I meet each week through my work.
