We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniel, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Allenbrooke Farms x Sinsemilia’s provides beyond organic fruit, vegetables, flowers, herbalism & cannabis products to our middle tennessee community & country.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m most proud of the opportunities I am afforded to give in return to my community.

I got to where I am today by hustling hard, never giving up, not taking “NO” as an answer & always thinking ahead. I am a believer in planning & feel when one has a plan, they can then set forth their course of action to obtain any goal they seek.

No, it’s never been easy, but anything worth having is seldom “easy”.

I over come challenges by having a plan & thinking ahead always. I think of every possible variable which can be a blessing & a curse.

The lesson I’ve learned is the life I’ve chosen is not for the weak minded nor the weak at heart. Farming is the least “easy” career path one could choose.

I would like the world to know that if they choose to support small family farms that they in return are helping rural areas not be developed into subdivisions owned by black-rock etc. For consumers to stop complaining of the “price” one pays for clean, ethical food & medicine. Farming is the most labor intensive job there is. If consumers want “cheap” then they should continue supporting big corporations. Big corporations buy commodity crops from the farmer at below market value & in turn sell consumers highly processed, unhealthy consumables at budget friendly prices. But that doesn’t mean it’s good for you. Farmers tend to get the short end of the stick in every supply chain bc corporations need them to produce commodities that they themselves can’t produce. Without farmers, states would have less commodity market streams of revenue. We would love to see more young people engaged in agriculture bc someone has to continue offering the masses clean choices.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Allenbrooke Farms sits on 120 acres & offers glamping rentals, a venue/event rental, a local organic farmstore with local staples & cannabis consumables. If “getting away from it all” is your idea of a good time, come see us!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandparents who afforded me the opportunity & knowledge & who left to me, the multi-generational, family land, where my businesses exist today.
