We had the good fortune of connecting with Coach Toy Addington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Coach Toy, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Starting a business was tough, but absolutely necessary. Currently my title is the Director of Education at ICC Life Coach Institute. The three key lessons my journey has taught me that helped me succeed and will help save you a lot of time and money are priceless. Firstly, choose a business that you love, that fun and brings in profit. Secondly, keep overheads low. And thirdly, diversify your income streams. For example, as a Master Certified Professional Life Coach I’m able to help people effortlessly and economically from literally anywhere (on or offline) and have multiple streams from one certification (group coaching, corporate coaching, retreats, speaking engagements and more).

What should our readers know about your business?

At ICC Life Coach Institute, is globally accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Our motto is “I Can’t Let Anything Control My Mind, Mood, or Money!”  We strive to empowering individuals to create legacies and secure their livelihoods. We offer a Master Certified Professional Life Coach ACC class, mentor coaching and business coaching. Business planning, social media marketing, and marketing and branding are a few courses offered at our online school. I’m also, the Executive Director of Niecy’s Hands On Us (501c3) who has donated hundreds of backpacks full of supplies to children who are less fortunate, in honor of my mom.

Proudly, we’re the first ICF-accredited life coaching school in the midsouth, opening doors to government contracts, job opportunities, and entrepreneurship, breaking the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle. I am looking for individuals who want to start a life coaching business, grow their business and make money in their sleep. Let me help you change the world and make some money doing it. We have graduates in nine countries and thirty-one states and counting.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
New Orleans holds a special place in my heart. The culture, food, clubs, and shopping on Bourbon Street are simply amazing.
