Meet Clemmie Greenlee | President/Ceo/Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Clemmie Greenlee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Clemmie, what inspires you?
I am inspired by life and people. Life because of the way it is being introduced to me as government, laws and therapies dictate how we live our lives. Peoples because some of us like me are quick to take risk and pull they life up by the boot strips instead of complaining. I endure a lot from Africa, Kenya and other countries because they make do with what they got to work or eat with and for that alone I am inspired by it!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an advocate for youth, gangs, and gun violence. My son was murdered in 2003 and instead of going into depression I decided to make a change.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to my house to have fun and to talk about life issues and their personal status first and then I would take them out to eat at SOUL restaurant and then take them to my church to get the holy ghost feeling.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Regina Mullins…… She was the resident director of a recovery program called Magdalene House that is now called Thistle Farm
She jeopardized her job to come to a crack house to get me out and into the program!
