Meet Christina Sullivan | Photographer and Scientist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Sullivan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
You get what you give.
I have found that the more time I put into my business, the more I gain in return. You can’t simply run a business putting in minimal effort and expect to achieve great success.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I wanted to help capture the precious moments of other families, not just my own. I realized most people probably can’t/don’t want to spend thousands on pictures in a year. So I pride myself on being affordable. It has not been easy because they are lots of photographers out there with more experience than me, but I don’t let that stop me.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them places that aren’t too populated. I would give them the most authentic trip. We would visit broadway at least once, but the rest of the trip would be places that only locals know where to go. We would go to breweries such as 51 north taproom.
For breakfast we would go to red bicycle. I think they have the best crepes.
Lunch would be 51st deli.
Dinner bar taco
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband. He is the reason why I decided to start my photography business.
