We had the good fortune of connecting with Bonnie Surie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bonnie, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
This question is fascinating, and I’m in awe when I recall the amazing connections. I clearly see how my childhood and upbringing were preparing me to do the work I do today. I was born and raised in Utah.

I would groan about being stuck in the car with my dad, forced to listen to his talking tapes. Motivational speakers and inspiring stories from the Chicken Soup for the Soul series would vibrate through the speakers. It didn’t matter how tight I plugged my ears; the messages somehow made their way to my young eardrums.

My siblings and I knew that being in the car with Dad meant the play button would be engaged. Cassette tapes and books on personal development filled my dad’s bookshelf.

When I was seven, my parents got a divorce. I remember being at my friend’s house, upset about the changes that were taking place in my life. My friend wanted to play pretend, our preferred fun activity, and I wasn’t feeling it. I remember telling her that playing pretend was stupid because what I wanted would never happen.

Her cousin who was a few years older than us, gasped and said that what I wanted could happen. She ran inside and came out with a radio tape player. She pushed play, and a man’s voice spoke, “If you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hands.” No, not me, I said just as he continued, “Yes, even you, the one listening to this cassette right now.” This man was Bob Proctor.

I was the kid who cried when I saw others get hurt or when others were upset. I could feel the sting and discomfort in my body. “Bonnie is just sensitive.” I heard this all the time. I thought it meant that I wasn’t strong or something like that. This comment became embarrassing for me to hear.

Sleeping and dreams were something I looked forward to. I didn’t know then that dreams of speaking with master teachers and angels and seeing future experiences were unusual.

I was the kid in middle school that others would come to to talk about their inner pains and home life challenges. I would comment when there was a pause and often heard, “How did you know that?” I thought I was just good at guessing unspoken details about people.

I didn’t consciously retain the wisdom and guidance from the stories and speakers I heard when I was younger. Perhaps my teen and young adult years would have been more simple if I had.

In 2010 I had a sudden moment of realization that changed the trajectory of my life. Until this time, I was an angry, sad, and frustrated mother and wife. After watching a recorded video of myself interacting with my children, I was shocked. I had become a professional runner. Not the kind with fancy shoes, a record time to beat, and small shorts. The kind of runner that constantly runs from themselves to avoid and escape the discomfort of being in their own body, mind, and life.

After watching this recording, I knew I had a decision to make. I could wait for the changes I craved, I could end my life, or I could change. I didn’t have the patience to wait, and I was far too curious about what my future held for me to end life now.

I made a phone call to my dad, telling him what had happened, and asked for his help. He became my personal development mentor. Back to the talkin tapes and books!

After transforming my mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being from simply existing to thriving, I felt inspired to help others do the same.

My dad gifted me a ticket to Success and Prosperity expert Bob Proctor’s Matrixx seminar in Canada. Little did I know, that ticket would be my passport to a world beyond imagination. I was invited to return and join Bob’s staff to facilitate the next seminar. Side by side with Bob, I delved into the brilliant dance between the mind and body, unlocking doors to profound insights and game-changing mindset tools, adding to ones I had learned during self-study.

From that point on, the adventure rapidly unfolded. Bob extended an invitation to coach his acclaimed program, Thinking Into Results. This catapulted me into working with countless driven teams and individuals committed to extraordinary results.

Private team training, transformative retreats, speaking at women’s charity events, radio morning shows that sparked inspiration, and frequent training and speaking sessions at Ft. Campbell, KY, for the Resilient Employee program.

My words found their way into magazines, and I’ve had the honor of speaking on the prestigious stage at Cambridge University UK and co-authoring an Amazon bestseller.

Every session, every event, and every interaction has been a chance to connect, inspire, and witness remarkable transformations, inviting people into the world of possibility.

I had no idea that my skills and development were preparing to expand into a whole new realm, reminding me of an aspect of youth that I had forgotten about.

During a dinner party, I unexpectedly channeled a message to a complete stranger leaving her speechless and shocked that I would give her a direct and specific message regarding an experience she just had. “No one knows about this. How did you know?!”

I was flooded with disbelief and fascination, wondering, “What the heck just happened?!”

This resurfaced ability continued to unfold in fascinating ways and has become a compass in my work with private mentoring clients.
Through intuition guidance, I uncover hidden roadblocks to the challenges that are holding them back from the progress and change they deeply desire.

Equipped with a powerful blend of mindset tools and an intuitive understanding of life’s journey, I guide my clients toward transformative breakthroughs while helping them rebuild their relationship with themselves.

Together, we create their unique path to improved health, increased wealth, stronger relationships, and more fulfilling lives.

What really blows me away is I remember, as young as five and into my early teenage years, pretending that I was being interviewed and speaking to audiences. I would passionately share what I believed to be secret knowledge that would help people to be happy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Through speaking events, workshops, private team trainings, and one-on-one mentoring, I guide my clients on a deep journey of self-discovery.

Together, we delve into their thoughts, emotions, memories, and beliefs to uncover the hidden rules and assumptions holding them back. My approach is both practical and transformative, equipping them with actionable tools to rewrite their life stories and align with their true potential.

My unique ability to blend mindset strategies with intuitive insights truly sets me apart. I’m often told that my perspective creates breakthroughs where others see quicksand and roadblocks.

It’s incredibly fulfilling to witness my clients transform their relationships—not just with others but, most importantly, with themselves. That inner shift is where the magic happens.

This work began with a simple desire to help people feel better about themselves. I never imagined it would lead me to work alongside renowned experts in personal development, learning to combine powerful mindset techniques with intuitive guidance.

It’s been a journey of embracing vulnerability, challenging the fears of imperfection, and sharing my gifts in a way that empowers others to rebuild their relationship with themselves and their life journey.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned are the power of self-belief and the importance of staying true to your purpose, even when the road feels uncertain. My work is about showing women how to find trust within, guiding them to live with purpose, alignment, and fulfillment.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are starting the day off nice and early to beat the line that always forms inside and out of the adorable and ridiculously delicious Proper Bagel.

Then, we’re headed to the treetops for all-day fun at Adventure Works Zipline Forest. It’s an excellent way to engage the mind and body and use breakfast energy

We’re ending the day with tasty finger food, entertainment, and laughter at the famous comedy club Zanies!

We’ll spend an early afternoon walking Centennial Park with a dangerously delicious cold treat in hand from Mike’s Ice Cream and Coffee Bar while admiring the stunning Parthenon and beautiful structures dedicated to sharing events of history at.

Nashville nightlife is one of a kind, hello Broadway!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have been blessed with siblings and parents who have been a source of unconditional love, believing in me and seeing my good when I didn’t.

My Dad helped me rebuild my relationship with myself.

My soul sister who was my earth angel during my messy teen years and still is.

My husband who has been my master teacher in vulnerability, has helped me heal and gifted me the treasures of being an at-home mom. Our three children, Araeha, Summer, and Nathen, who continue to fill my life with immense love and joy.

Bob Proctor showed me how to share my gifts with others.

And my clients who have had the courage to change and trust me to be part of their life journey.
