We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna DiCarlo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I never meant to start this business. In fact, it was a ripple effect from my (now oldest) being diagnosed with chemically induced eczema over 11years ago. When I found out there really was no cure (as all store products have chemicals that would in some way shape or form harm my daughters’ skin), I knew then that the only option I had was to make the products myself. With the guidance of her Pediatrician, I was a determined mama. It soon became a business because I went from helping myself to friends and family that needed help. And it simply grew around the country by word of mouth.

But the true success is not just the support I got, but over the last 11years I have ALWAYS been willing to flow with what was given. So, during 2020, my business rocked it because everyone was home. I went in, was determined to make it through and not just rely on my storefront…but focus on the website and really push site sales.
As we got into 2022 and 2023, these have by far been the worst years for my 11year business. However, I am once again determined to go with what is given.
Knowing that a lot of people are struggling. Knowing that a lot of people still need help, but maybe cannot afford it the way that they could before. And people are trying to do things more for themselves as well.
While I still push the site, I have now started ‘how to’ classes at the storefront. I am making kits for people to be able to do things on their own. I have also started services that are donation based, while the skincare aspect still stays the same price wise. Also offering discounts where I can so people can still get quality products at a more affordable price.

To me, the fluidity of you allows for the changes that come. I feel like being stagnant, whether in thought or by actions can hold you up. Listening to clients, listening to your community and being willing to change and call certain things quits when its time is key.
Often times, we hang onto an idea we had because that was our goal and to do anything other than how we saw it, is failure …. but who’s to say you’re not creating the same goal just in a different way? There is more than one way to achieve success and 1 way thinking will block your blessings.
The only thing that is constant is change. To think otherwise is a setup.

What should our readers know about your business?
La Belle Naturelle LLC (LBN) is very unique. But I also think that a lot of businesses are unique in their own way! The business owner is the ingredient…not always the product 🙂 With LBN I not only create every single product I have (400+) fresh as it’s ordered by the client(s), but I also research the ingredients, I formulate each product myself, I have a group of volunteers to test the product(s) after my family and myself have tested them. If and only if the testing goes right will I launch the product. If not, then I refrain from every launching it.
The ingredients come from all across the world, making the ingredients the best I can find and in its purest form possible.

That’s just the skincare side of LBN. Now, I’ve recently started offering services as well. The services themselves that I personally offer are donation-based and I also work within a network of women with the same values which are simple: Help as many people as we can. We are all trained, certified and/or licensed in what we do. Some like me are donation based, while others charge a fee…however, we ALL work with budgets.
The services I offer are things like Soul Energy Work, Angelic Mediumship, Acupressure, Resolution Therapy, Connecting Back To Nature and coming soon … Facial massaging.
The women that have their businesses inside the LBN storefront are:
– holistic practitioner
– nurse practitioner who is also a functional medicine nurse
– reflexology
– iridology
– body code practitioner
AND MORE, making it truly a one stop shop for the mind, body AND soul!
The best part is…we are all willing to travel to whomever needs the help, if they cannot make it to us.

This wasn’t always easy, and it still sometimes isn’t. It took years to find the right people with the same mindset to want to come together and make a safe place for people.
To overcome the biggest challenge right now, which is getting our name out there….is simple. We have faith, we market wherever we can, and we typically say ‘yes’ to any opportunity that comes our way.

We are all trying to make it in the world, but it’s so nice to know you’re not alone.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend was visiting I would have to take them to the new Gyro place that just opened up! They have the best customer service and food. I would then take them to Golly G’s for an ice cream, cookie or coffee.

We would have to get services done, so I would head to my shop…I know I’m biased, but you can get everything from a ionic foot bath, foot rub with reflexology to soul energy work done and the release of emotion that maybe has been stored up! They would be able to shop for skincare, while looking at other vendor items and they would leave with a full belly from the food beforehand and head to soul fixed up before leaving.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Going along with the flow & not staying stagnant is a HUGE part of my success, however I could not go without giving a shoutout to some people too.

I feel like God/trusting myself and of course my family from husband, kids to my parents have all been extremely supportive and added to my success. Their advice, their ears for listening have all been extremely helpful, even if I didn’t always listen. HA!

I also have a VERY supportive soul tribe group of women that have the same goals and the same thoughts which is to help the community and as many people as we can with our services. Thats why a lot of us have donation-based services.
