Meet Ambi Smith | Visionary, Author, Philanthropist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ambi Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ambi, what role has risk played in your life or career?
To be quite honest, I was always one to play it safe-always the one to have everything organized; If it wasn’t written down, it wasn’t happening; but as I have gotten older, I have realized that time is truly one of the most precious gifts and life is simply too short to live with regrets. So, I am now finding myself doing things I said I would never do, attempting things I have always talked myself out, pursuing opportunities that seem unfathomable. And why? Well because the only failure is the one that I failed to try. I have one life and I am determined to live it to its fullest

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I always speak on my books. Of course, I am an author with a message of Faith and Healing. I don’t get the opportunity to speak on my ministry/organization that has built me up as a leader and ultimately made me who I am. Sisters in the Name of Christ, Inc. Is my baby. It’s my heart. This ministry has cultivated friendships around the world, even internationally. We have ministered to women at their lowest, encouraged them at their weakest, celebrated them at their highest. We are an interdenominational women’s ministry created to empower, equip, and educate women of all ages. We do this by helping them to discover the gifts which are on the inside of them, give them the necessary tools and resources to by the Kingdom woman they were created to be.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The city has grown drastically. I don’t know where we would go; but it would include some live music and dancing because I love to dance ; but our trip would also be solely focused on tending to our physical, mental, spiritual health because that’s the type of energy I am on at the moment.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this to the many people who believe in and support me. More specifically, I dedicate this to those who trust the God in me. This year has been a remarkable year in ministry for me. The Lord gave me a mandate for 2023, one that stretched me and forced me to trust the will of God….and oh, what a remarkable year it has been for Sisters in the Name of Christ, Inc. I stand in awe of my Heavenly Father. Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with me.
