Meet Allison Tallman Ms Rd | Registered Dietitian

We had the good fortune of connecting with Allison Tallman Ms Rd and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Allison, what do you attribute your success to?
The biggest factor behind my success is the success of my clients. The transformations they experience go far beyond weight loss—they regain confidence, energy, and a sense of freedom around food they never thought possible. And that’s because my approach is completely different from anything they’ve tried before.
Most diets focus on restriction, numbers, and willpower. But I take a completely different approach with my 3M Method—Mindset, Mindfulness, and Metabolism. Instead of a one-size-fits-all plan, I tailor everything to the individual, meeting them where they are and making sustainable changes that fit their life. It’s flexible, balanced, and not just another diet—it’s a total transformation.
The reason this works so well is that I don’t just focus on one part of nutrition—I go into all aspects of health: how their metabolism functions, how their mindset affects their food choices, and how mindfulness can change their relationship with food. No one is teaching these skills in the way I do. And that’s why my clients see results that last—because they’re not just following a plan, they’re learning how to fuel their bodies in a way that works for life.
This individualized, all-encompassing approach is what sets me apart. It’s why my clients finally feel in control, stop second-guessing everything they eat, and achieve the results they’ve been chasing for years. And for me, their success is the true measure of mine.
What should our readers know about your business?
One of the biggest things that sets me apart in the nutrition space is that I’m a Registered Dietitian—not just a nutritionist. I went through years of schooling, clinical training, and evidence-based practice to become an expert in nutrition and metabolism. While there’s a lot of misinformation out there, I help women cut through the noise with science-backed, sustainable strategies that actually work.
At the heart of my approach is my 3M Method—Mindset, Mindfulness, and Metabolism. Most people only focus on one aspect of nutrition—like calories or macros—but I go deeper. My method helps women understand not just what to eat, but how to eat in a way that supports their body, their lifestyle, and their long-term success. It’s individualized, flexible, and balanced—not another diet. And I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is, having helped hundreds of women transform their health without extreme restriction or burnout.
But change isn’t easy. I know that when women start their health journey, they often feel overwhelmed and frustrated. That’s why I prioritize support. I meet my clients where they are and give them the tools, knowledge, and encouragement they need to make lasting changes.
I am where I am today because of the support of my community, my mentors, and my family and friends. Running a business is never easy—there are constant unknowns, and the hardest part isn’t starting, it’s overcoming the challenges that come with growth. I’ve had to learn how to set boundaries, take breaks for my mental health, and work smarter, not harder. Instead of trying to do everything at once, I’ve learned to focus on what truly moves the needle.
I want women to know that your health journey doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. My 3M Method is unlike anything you’ve tried before because it focuses on all aspects of your health—not just food, but how you think about food, how you listen to your body, and how you create habits that last. It’s not about dieting—it’s about transforming your relationship with food so you never have to “start over” again.
I want every woman to know that she deserves to feel strong, confident, and in control of her health. And with the right support, it’s absolutely possible.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is the easiest question to answer! I’m a planner and a self-proclaimed foodie—I LOVE checking out new spots and revisiting my all-time favorites. Any itinerary I create is going to be crafted around food and drink because, let’s be honest, that’s where the best memories are made! (And remember, all foods can fit too!)|
We’d start each morning with coffee from Dose or Barista Parlor, followed by a walk through Shelby Park or Radnor Lake for fresh air. Brunch at Butcher and Bee would be a must before exploring neighborhoods like East Nashville or Germantown, stopping by local boutiques and murals. An afternoon would be spent with friends at a local brewery like Bearded Iris or Southern Grist. Dinners would be unforgettable at spots like Folk, City House, or Henrietta Red, with cocktails at Patterson House or Attaboy to end the night. If time allows, we’d squeeze in a spa day at Escape Day Spa and a show at The Ryman! (Notice we’re not going to Broadway!)
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When I first started my business, there were so many unknowns, and I had a million questions. Navigating entrepreneurship felt overwhelming at times, but I was incredibly fortunate to connect with a community of female entrepreneurs in Nashville who were willing to meet me for coffee and share their wisdom.
These women didn’t just answer my questions—they offered guidance, encouragement, and inspiration that helped me push forward, even when things felt uncertain. Their generosity in sharing their experiences and insights gave me the confidence to keep building and growing.
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to all of those women who took the time to meet with me. Your support played a huge role in my journey, and I’m forever grateful!
