We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Mitchell Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I know that my response may sound cliched, but Gods presence in y life has propelled my family & I to places we knew was possible. GOD has given us a blueprint for life, opportunities for strategic networking connections, continual creative ideas, realistic goals and so much more‼️

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an artist that specializes in the super hero art form. The crazy part about my particular art journey is that I stopped creating art, from the age of 16, until two years ago. Stepping back into this medium was a true challenge, as I had to navigate with motor skill refinement, being very rusty, decreased eye vision, and a lack of confidence. My greatest work around came from immersing myself in my craft, through learning new things, to challenging myself to draw everyday. Coincidentally, I grew exponentially and began to inspire others along the way with similiar experiences.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Mississippi is long known for its great music, it’s great art and it’s great food. My city Is known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley as well as being a center hub for many blues musical brakes such as BB King, Howling Wolf, etc. Idealistically, we would trek through these historic monuments up through ending it at a Memphis Grizzlies basketball game.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
