We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Lane and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought were that I needed to be the example. I needed to to be the example not only for my 2 sons but for young single mothers everywhere. I needed to be proof that it could be done. With a little faith and determination anything is possible.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from other artists is simply my purpose and my intentions. My intentions set me apart from my peers because they are less about me and more about my community and the women around me. That is what I’m most proud of and what pushes me to go so hard knowing that the purpose for all of this is beyond me and just a brand. This was not easy to achieve, especially with no support from my community knowing they are my drive. It bothers me sometimes. My biggest lesson was stay out of my ego and own self ambitions and to stay in my God given purpose. That is what I want the world to know about me and my brand. We are not here for clout or fame. Our main purpose is to spread awareness, love and prosperity through out the universe.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely check out the museum. I love art it brings clarity and openness. I love seafood of course we would hit up the local crab spot for some wine and king crabs. I’m also a big kids so the arcade would definitely be our next stop.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out my mom for always keeping me motivated. She has been all of the above in my life. I will forever love her for all she does.
