Hi Trenika, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Currently my favorite quote is “make the choice daily”! My thoughts were all over the place at the end of 2023 and I found myself questioning everything. I had just started a new job in a different role, so I was learning a lot, and I had a new schedule. I didn’t have much time to dedicate to the blog and when I was home, I just wanted to sleep. Some days I would be in the best of moods and others I would feel sad and a little lost. Then one day during my morning prayer and affirmations I remembered that how we feel is totally up to us. What we do with our life is on us! Yes, things happen and life changes but how we choose to go about life after those moments is our decision. So, I told myself to make the choice daily! If you want to have peace and be happy, make that choice daily! Want to be the best writer, blogger, or creative?? Make that choice daily. We are in control of who we are and how life goes, even in troubled moments. So, make sure that you choose to live your best life daily!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
8 years ago I decided to start a blog dedicated to the city of Memphis. Memphis is often portrayed as a dangerous city with nothing going on, which is not the case. I felt that we needed more positive media outlets and more residents advocating for the city. I also felt it was important for people to see life in Memphis from a Memphians perspective. I’ve written articles on locals, created local guides, and maintained an event calendar, all while managing 3 different social media pages. I create my own content and take my own photos. If you’re looking to learn more about Memphis or visit, Plug901 has everything you need! But the journey hasn’t come without ups and downs. The influencer world is forever changing, and I don’t share a lot of personal things. Sometimes I feel like it’s hard to keep up with my peers due to me not being the traditional influencer. I’ve quit often but what keeps me going is my passion for my city. Memphis deserves to be seen in its true light, in a positive light. It deserves to be known for all of the culture, history, food, and good people, So, I’ll continue to be the voice of the city and show the real Memphis.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I’ll give short list because I plan to post a 3-day itinerary on my website. I can’t give away all of the good stuff yet! Lol

I want to dedicate this shoutout to my family and friends! They are extremely supportive, and they won’t let me quit! No matter how often I try to run from this blog thing or complain, they remind me of why I’m doing it and encourage me to continue on!
