We had the good fortune of connecting with Tre Forte and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tre, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is my drive and perseverance. Every day I wake up intrinsically motivated. I look for new ways to challenge myself and I am constantly working to improve pushing the “1% better” motto. I believe in it full-heartedly because those 1%’s add up. I didn’t gain the success I have currently overnight, but through setting goals, and grinding nonstop until they were achieved.

I always ask people what is their purpose, their motivator, and their goal. Find your purpose in life, understand what your intrinsic motivator is (because extrinsic motivators can depreciate), and find your ultimate goal relative to your meaning of success. Once you have your goal, you can align your habits to get you closer to achieving it.

I’ve failed numerous times in my life. I’ve had an enormous amount of doubters, haters, and people who had zero faith in me to be successful. You can choose to do one of two things, accept it and fall into their beliefs, or use it as extra fuel to prove them wrong and yourself right. I love proving people wrong, but I love the feeling of setting a goal that I’ve wanted to complete for myself even more.

I needed to make sure I kept my discipline. There were times I wanted to give up, but the thought of letting my family down, proving others who thought I’d fail right, and the heavy weight on my conscious that would occur if I gave up just wouldn’t let me. Perseverance helped me walk on to the Ohio State Football team. It helped me get on to TV shows, commercials, and act in a feature film. It helped me become an expert in the digital marketing and paid advertising industry. It helped me start my own business and e-commerce store. It helped me develop a course to help others who have entrepreneurial dreams of opening their own e-commerce stores come to life. The early mornings and late nights doing things that I maybe didn’t feel like doing is what separated me from the average and allowed me to become successful.

What should our readers know about your business?
I work in the paid advertising industry. I am a senior level Marketing Manager. I create and scale digital marketing channels for large-level companies that spend $100k+ monthly in ads on platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, Linkedin Ads, etc. I create ads, and campaigns, conduct market research, compile reports, optimize accounts, and more. All of these things have helped me become an expert in the field. It also has helped me start my own business.

I have an e-commerce store “LeoCor” (leocor.net) that sells sports apparel and accessories. The store has done so well that I’ve decided to use my expertise in digital marketing and combine it with my e-commerce experience to create an online course to help others build their own stores. I also provide a service where my team of pros build stores using “tried-and-true” practices for people who want to skip taking the course but still want their own e-commerce store. I also just finished writing a book, “No Silver Spoons”.

I’m very proud that my hard work and time dedicated to creating my business has paid off and now I get to share that success with others. It was not easy, I had to sacrifice nights, outside communication, social media, and other things to avoid distraction but it was worth it. The temporary sacrifice was made for long-term gains. I overcame the challenges by clearly outlining my goals. After the clarity, I was able to map out what I needed to do to get there and develop habits/a routine to match.

Things that helped:
Journaling
Taking mental breaks
Praying
Taking walks
Exercising (in the morning)
Eating healthy (your body thanks you and you feel better)
Setting daily and weekly goals, reviewing them to see if you hit them (checking boxes)
Having an accountability partner

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to Ohio State Football. My life and mentality changed drastically once I joined the team. I’d also like to shout out my family for being a strong support system throughout my life, making sure I had everything if I needed something, coming to all my games and special recognitions, and more. Special shoutout to my good friends Eli Goins, Triumph Dean, Emmanuel Adu, and Wesley Richardson. All have unique paths but excel in their respective fields while challenging each other to be better as well. Shoutout to Elina for starting her podcast and staying consistent to get closer to turning her hobby into a profitable channel. Special shoutout to JaJuan Forte, my brother who has faced a lot of adversity over time throughout college and has remained humble, disciplined, and determined without letting him affect his life or mentality negatively. Lastly, I’d like to shout out my sister Ray, and my brothers Antajuan and Anthony for chasing their dreams in sports and school.
