We had the good fortune of connecting with Travis Reigh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Travis, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When it comes to doing music for a living or starting your own business you’re gonna find out very early that it takes money to make money. It’s always a risk to do what you want do in life but if you don’t take the risk how can you get the reward. I’d say the risk for me was finding out how hard it can be. It’s still hard but I wouldn’t change a thing about it. I get to do what I love for a living and I’m very thankful.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m very excited about my future. So far my bandmates and I have set up a great tour for 2024 and can’t wait to show crowds how much we enjoy what we do. We also have new music coming out which is very exciting. My new single “Laymantown Road” should be available for my audience by the end of February. I’d say I got where I am today by sticking to the grind and putting all of my heart and soul into it. There have been challenges and setbacks and there will continue to be more. Anything in life worth having takes a lot of work and patience. That’s a big lesson I’ve learned is nothing is easy and you have to find the good in anything.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My band and I usually tour all of the east coast. So if I was to show my friend a great time I’d take him on tour with me to downtown Raleigh or downtown Nashville to hang out with us while we perform. We would start early in the day by going to shake shack for lunch in downtown Nashville for chicken nuggets then going to Ole Red for some of the best whiskey drinks and music in town. I say some of the coolest places people can go would be the Ryman, Ole Red, and Coyote Ugly’s in Nashville.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate this shout out to my mother. If it wasn’t for my mother or my family I’m not sure I would have had what I needed to go forward with my career. When my family went overseas when I was at a young age I started writing music and playing instruments. When they returned they encouraged my career and have been with me every step of the way. I also have to thank my grandparents who were country musicians and songwriters. I do believe that lifestyles can be handed down by generation.
