We had the good fortune of connecting with Tia Cristy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor I accredit my success to is that I started Tips from Tia as a ‘trusted’ resource for lifestyle tips. I was tired of hearing that people would Google how to get a stain out of something or how to fix ‘this’, and they would get the wrong answer. I felt it was irresponsible and harmful for people to share bogus lifehacks. I wanted all our tips to be accurate and helpful. I even tested a large percentage of these tips myself and would share my findings. I believe my transparency and the need to find the truth is what separated me from the others for many years. Being considered a trusted source is an honor. My mission is to help people reduce everyday life stresses with the simple knowledge they will be able to carry for the rest of their lives.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Well, I think it’s important to know your brand first and foremost. Especially when you’re like me and have multiple roles. I am the Founder of Tips from Tia, where we are a trusted resource to share everyday lifestyle tips. From inception, my mission has been to help people reduce everyday stresses with easy lifestyle hacks and tips. Becoming the face of my company was an easy responsibility for me since I had already been a public figure and personality for years. Speaking for a living has always been an easy thing for me to do. I love to connect with people. So, when I combined my public speaking and tips expertise to train others on how to communicate better or make it onto a stage, it felt very natural to take on the role of CEO for Ready Speaker One℠. Was it easy?
Not always. There is always a learning curve at first with whatever we do. And when you want to tackle something so ambitious, you must have passion to carry you through the rough times. However, I can honestly say that when things are right, I’m in complete flow. I don’t know if it comes from all the hard work I’ve done to make it here or if it’s better judgment from life experiences, but I am in flow more often than not, nowadays.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Nashville is one of the best places on earth! I would recommend a stay at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center because it’s a small city within itself but still close enough to enjoy the downtown. Plus, I love that the radio station is in the resort, so that is a big win for me. There is enough within the miles of of Opryland to keep one busy for a week, but it would be tragic to miss the life on Music Row. Backstage Nashville is a great spot to catch the daytime music. The bar and grille don’t disappoint either. Taking a tour of Jack Daniels Distillery is worth the trip, but I know to book that in advance because it sells out quickly. And if we’re packing in the tours, anything Grand Ole Opry is a treasure. I also love that, along with bus and trolley tours, Nashville makes tractor tours incredibly desirable. The I don’t think there’s a dull place in Nashiville’s nightlife, but one of my top favorites for a solid night of good music and community is Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar in Printers Alley. But again, just like so many of the hottest spots in the city, make a reservation ahead of time if you want to have a seat.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Since I was just announced as CEO several months ago, I would love to give a proper shoutout to Dr. Dan Young, Founder of Ready Speaker One℠, for trusting me to be his captain and help take his business to the next level. That being said, I will extend my shoutout to our team, who are doing their part to make Ready Speaker One℠ an incredible company where we help guide speakers to make it to the big stages. I appreciate all they do!
