We had the good fortune of connecting with Tayy ThePro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tayy, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The trails and errors we go through before releasing any content to the world. Like it’s rare to have a one take, one mix and master version, cause as creative we always find something new to add or take away from whatever its is we’re working on. So yeah the thousands of other versions no one ever gets to know about is something the outsiders aren’t aware of, probably..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m not sure if I’m different from anyone else mane. We all create something unique for sure but I think I’m not different. I do everything myself maybe that’s it. I write, edit, produce and engineer all of my content so maybe that set me apart from others but I also know a plethora of people that does the exact same thing. I do take pride in that though, being able to produce a product solely created by me with no other out source. I got to where I am today by not giving up and being consistent. Was that easy? Of course not. Outside of dealing with myself, I had the rest of the world to deal with too. My peers, friends, enemies, hell even life itself. Overall I learned that you gotta be cool and calm through it all. But we know that ain’t easy. What I want the world to know about me, hmmm I’m just like you mane, a human with emotions. I discovered my talents and never looked back and you can do the same.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not hold you mane on the right days/nights Memphis is actually dope city to be in. We can go throw some axes downtown at Craft Axe Throwing it’s always a good vibe there. Late night grub, we gotta hit Bardog Tavern, shout out to Ricky Davaine for the hook up on that spot. Crosstown Art is a vibe far as a spot you want to check out the buildings layout, aesthetic or the stores. I can’t forget about the bars and lounges my to go spot is Ugly Cowboy, heavenly vibes! I don’t move around that much to be honest but Inkwell, Central Station, CRU are some chill spots too. The new Tom Lee Park design go crazy too!! And of course it’s some spots you gotta know on the IYKYK bases.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s this book called “The Artist Way” my close friend Marco Pavé put me on so shouts out to that book and him for pushing me past my own limitations. My close family and family cause they always believed in whatever I wanted to pursue. I can’t forget about Diamond, the love of my life, she’s always there to make sure I’m at the top of my game even when I feel like I’m not.
