We had the good fortune of connecting with TariaJaybre` and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TariaJaybre`, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I come from a long line of creative and artistic people. I feel like that is why my musical journey has been so natural for me. I was over exposed to music and performing at a very early age, and I loved how many memories and magical moments it created for my family. To know that my voice is my instrument and my song lyrics have changes lives, makes me feel like a super hero. What girl didn’t want a super power as a child?

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I think one thing that sets me apart from others is my resilience. I know everyday won’t be the best for me but I’m optimistic that I’m always one step closer. I’m in true competition with myself and am always looking for a way to make life better.

I’m so proud of all the amazing work I’ve done thus far. I’m also super proud that I haven’t given up! I will say 2023 was a very exciting year for me. It brought me my greatest achievement, traveling overseas to Amsterdam to perform and I won my first International Music Award.

I am where I am today because I am choosing to chase a dream that was already a part of my future reality. I was designed and created to do exactly what I am doing now. The path has always been laid out for me, I just had to answer “yes” to the call and keep my faith.

It’s never easy to believe that something will happen for you without knowing the “how”. But God! God will open so many amazing doors for you when you are obedient and committed.

Overcoming challenges is all about your attitude. If you believe that something is going to work out for you, then you should understand that no obstacle is too big to conquer.

Along the way I have learned that every moment is a teachable moment. Rather it’s sound issues, wardrobe malfunctions, travel errors, fatigue, etc…
Use those moments to learn. The broken moments include the most memorable lessons. Keep your spirits up ALWAYS!

I want the world to know that; aside from being an Independent Recording Artist, I am a Daughter and Mother. I am good at so many things and it makes me a true force in this world. I also pride myself on being positive and treating others well, I’m far from perfect but I’m a loyal person full of integrity. I’m also full of energy and love to laugh!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I was in Nashville for a full week, I would definitely spend lots of time near downtown. I’m in love with the live music scene in that area. I also LOVE the Assembly Food Hall! Of couse visiting the The Grand Ole Opry a couple times is a must! I don’t care what event it is, I would be there. I’m such a big kid at heart, so Rainforest Cafe would definitely be on the list. My time would literally be a week just packed with music and food!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I give all credit and recognition to God! I’ve gone through so many storms these last couple years, and I know if it wasn’t for Gods grace and mercy I wouldn’t be where I am today.
