Meet T. I. | Social Media Influencer & Sports Writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with T. I. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi T.I., what do you attribute your success to?
Let’s delve into the concept of success—it’s not a solo endeavor but the outcome of various elements working together.
Practically speaking, achieving success involves finding a balance. Imagine this: understanding yourself as well as, if not better than, your intended audience. Stay true to your values; ensure your message remains clear, even as your audience evolves. Keep an eye on the future, and be ready to adapt and grow.
Think about well-established brands like Nike, Apple, McDonald’s, or the NFL—they’ve mastered proficiency in the business world. Their core message has stood the test of time. Embracing trends in your business is commendable, but it’s crucial not to let passing fads alter the fundamental identity of your enterprise. Consider the cautionary tale of Blockbuster—they might regret not adapting to the Netflix model. Evolution isn’t about giving up; it’s a strategic move to stay relevant with the times.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Born out of my passion for sports, communication, and pop culture, my art doesn’t stem from a specific media or medium. Instead, it draws inspiration from the entirety of the ridiculousness of the sports media landscape. I want the world to recognize that here at Titans Idiot Nation, our focus goes beyond just X’s and O’s.
Humor lurks around every corner, and the world of sports is no exception. Recognizing the diverse tastes of sports fans worldwide, each with their unique appetites for information, we operate in what I fondly term the “Fringe Sports Territory.” Here, we cater to the unconventional side of sports. Where does this come from? Ultimately, it boils down to a simple truth – people want to laugh. Even when their favorite team is having a rough time, there’s always something to find solace in within the realm of misery.
At Titans Idiot Nation, every voice carries weight. While we may harbor differing opinions, the comments section in our social media realm is a space where fans respect each other, regardless of the varying degrees of opinion. We engage in playful banter. We poke fun. We troll. We share laughter. We shed a tear or two. Most importantly, we collectively revel in the shared experience of happiness and misery within the modern sports world. It’s all of these elements that contribute to the greatness of the group and community we’ve cultivated here.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First on the agenda is a visit to 400 Degrees for some mouth-watering hot chicken. If you swing by, make sure to let Aqui know that T.I. sent you! But if it’s your first time, consider easing into the heat level—these folks don’t mess around.
After satisfying our taste buds, we’ll make our way to Black Abbey Brewing Company for a round or three of the finest beers available in our great state of Tennessee.
Once we’ve enjoyed some quality brews, a short drive down the road will take us to Game Terminal. It’s the go-to spot for pinball and classic arcade games, and the best part? All the classics are free to play. The selection is top-notch, making it hard to beat.
For our nightcap, we’ll venture to Midtown and check out Winners & Losers Bar & Grill. You never know who you might bump into—whether it’s Post Malone or Peyton Manning, the list of celebrities is endless. When you stop by, give a shoutout to their GM, Andy P, and let him know T.I. sent you. Cheers!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Are you kidding me?? I don’t even know if we have enough room for this…. Where do I begin?
First off I have to give a shout out to the Tennessee Titans because with them there would be no Titans Idiot Nation. The heart of the T.I.N. starts and ends with our boys in Two Tone Blue and the work they put in each and every year to give us all what we crave, FOOTBALL. But beyond the guys putting the pads on every week, there is no one more worthy of a shout out than every single member of the Titans Idiot Nation. The love, support and overall encouragement our group of followers provide is infectious and motivates me to keep honing my craft.
I’d like to extend a big shout-out to Austin Huff at Korked Bats. His friendship, mentorship, and partnership have been instrumental in navigating the growth of my page. Alongside Austin, I want to express my appreciation for my T.I.N. / S.I.N. team—Jacob, Miles, Adam and our newest addition, Jay Harper. Lastly, a colossal shoutout goes to our favorite Titans insider, the cream of the crop, Wes Wisely. His unwavering dedication to the team and his passion for the Titans truly set him apart from his colleagues.
