Meet Steven Cade | Nashville Based Award Winning Modern Country Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Cade and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Steven, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
The power and influence of music are profound. Music has the power to heal; it brings peace and can motivate you to reach the next level. People use it on their first dates, weddings, marriages, funerals, major sporting events, and even over the sound system in grocery stores. It is everywhere, including in nature. Music can be a force for good or for evil. It is persuasive and can encourage actions that may harm or help you or others. Music can also be used in churches to praise God and inspire congregations to help those in need. Music is not just for leisure and entertainment; it is a tool that can bring hope and alleviate despair.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What Sets Me Apart from Others
What distinguishes me in the world of modern country music is my unique blend of traditional Southern influences with a contemporary edge. My early exposure to a diverse range of musical styles – from the country melodies of Houston to the varied sounds of San Diego – has infused my music with a rich, eclectic vibe. I believe in storytelling through music, creating songs that not only entertain but also resonate deeply with my audience’s experiences and emotions.
What I Am Most Proud Of
I am particularly proud of my ability to connect with people through my music and philanthropic efforts. Winning the Modern Country Artist of the Year Award and being considered for GRAMMY nominations are professional milestones that validate my musical journey. However, it’s my work with Giving Guitars-bringing music to the homeless, foster children, at-risk youth, victims of domestic violence, and Veterans suffering from PTSD that truly fulfills me. Seeing the impact of music on people’s lives is profoundly rewarding.
Journey to Professional Success
Reaching this point in my career was far from easy. The challenges ranged from past personal struggles, such as my family’s financial difficulties and coping with both my parents’ dying in the same month, to professional hurdles like navigating the highly competitive music industry. The life-threatening battle with meningitis/encephalitis was a critical turning point, prompting a deep reevaluation of my life’s path.
Overcoming Challenges
I overcame these challenges through resilience, faith, support from my wife and children, and an unwavering passion for music. Transitioning from a lead singer in a band to a solo artist required not just talent but also a strong sense of self and purpose. My faith played a pivotal role, especially during the toughest times, guiding me towards a more meaningful and impactful use of my talents.
Lessons Learned
One key lesson I’ve learned is the importance of adaptability. The music industry is constantly evolving, and success often depends on the ability to adapt to new trends, technologies, and audience preferences. Another crucial lesson is the value of perseverance. Many times, it’s the relentless pursuit of your passion, despite the setbacks, that leads to success.
My Message to the World
I want the world to know that my music is more than just entertainment; it’s a vehicle for change and inspiration. Through my songs and my work with Giving Guitars, I aim to make a positive impact, offering hope and joy to those who need it most. My story is one of resilience, transformation, and the unifying power of music. It’s about finding your purpose and using your talents to make the world a better place. Most importantly, putting things in the right order: God, family, then work.
In essence, my brand and story are about the transformative power of music – both in the life of the individual and in the broader community. It’s a journey of overcoming, giving back, showing love and connecting hearts through the universal language of music.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would put it together last minute, so here’s an itinerary I found after doing a quick search as some ideas:

In the evening, enjoy Italian cuisine at Yolan, known for its polished dining room and exquisite dishes.

Start the day with a relaxed vibe at Flamingo Cocktail Club & Coffee Bar, a vegan coffee shop by day and one of the best clubs in Nashville by night.
In the spirit of giving back, consider visiting or supporting local charities or music initiatives, reflecting the community spirit of Nashville.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes, Jesus Christ, the son of God. The King of Kings and Lord of Lord. His words are found in the Holy Bible and are true yesterday, today and tomorrow. He will change your life for the better! The bible is the most popular book in the world, in terms of the number of copies sold and distributed, and for good reason.
