We had the good fortune of connecting with  Solo Nitty Gritty and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Solo Nitty Gritty, why did you pursue a creative career?
Because of the way it made me feel and it’s my passion also saved my life and the fact that I love making music

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is hip hop music I feel in love with it when I was just 11 years old been doing for over 2 decades now the challenges I faced was when I had accident at work when I hit my head on a metal ramp which caused brain damage and epilepsy and forgot who I was and my loved ones I didn’t know I did music really didn’t know anything it took months to get back what I lost it was my wife who kept reminding who I was she didn’t give up on me the lesson that I learned is never give up on your dreams go for it and don’t look back

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the mountains in My Gatlinburg and just chill in the cabin have BBQs and just kick back and have a few beers then during the day go hiking see some tourist spots and enjoy the outdoors and peace

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes my wife Miranda she’s always by my side she keeps me going she’s also my inspiration and motivates me when I am tired and feel like I can’t go anymore she’s the push that I always need
