We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacy Rule and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
To be honest when I left my old salon family and client 4 years ago in Ct I had no thoughts on opening my OWN salon. I figured I would find my spot in a new establishment salon here in Tn and continue doing chair rental. But it wasn’t that easy, nothing was felt right or fit what I was looking for. So after really thinking about the whole process I wrote out exactly what my ideal salon would look like. I went into the nitty gritty details and was like why can’t I do take everything here and turn it into real life. It really has been a dream of mine and there’s no reason I couldn’t do it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Iam the Owner of J&J Beauty Co. salon in Spring Hill Tn. We are a salon that is not only a place for your beauty needs but a place where you can come maybe feeling not your best and leave feeling and looking your most confident self. Where you feel comfortable to vent to us or have a completely silent appointment a total judgement free zone. – Starting this business was absolutely terrifying but I wanted to make this dream my reality with every inch of my soul. Every year has gotten better and better and I cannot wait to see what the future holds. I believe supporting smalls businesses is so important I also believe we can be as successful as the passion we put into it. Don’t be afraid to go for it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When we have visitors I always love to take them to any festivals going in. Live music and food trucks are always a good time especially in centennial park or downtown Franklin. Sometimes just a drive through beautiful back roads. Breath taking farm lands with grazing longhorns is unmatched.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I truly believe that your mindset controls the outcome of your life and with that being said my biggest shoutout goes to an incredible podcaster Roxie Lee and Jay shetty along with this great author of a book I’m currently obsessed with Amanda Frances. I also couldn’t have pushed myself without the help of my best friend/ husband Jd Rule . Xo
