Hi Shantell, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The success of my hair care products is primarily attributed to thorough research, quality ingredients, and a commitment to meeting diverse hair care needs for nationalities.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our business stands out due to a relentless focus on innovation, customer feedback incorporation, and a commitment to providing effective and inclusive hair care solutions for various needs and hair types. Although my journey has not been easy, it has definitely been worth it. If it wasn’t for the customers who took a chance on my hair growth products, Survivor Queen would not be successful currently. The lessons I’ve learned are: always believe in yourself or no one else will, professionalism goes a long way and always be a person of your word. Our brand is driven by a passion for empowering individuals through quality hair care.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a week-long adventure, I’d start with iconic local spots downtown for breathtaking views. Dining-wise, we’d explore the best steakhouse’s/Mexican and indulge in local flavors. A day trip to Nashville would also be in the itinerary.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My son Dekevian travels with me and promotes my products as well. Watching me start my small business has influenced him starting The Durag King. Also, my sister Melissa has been very supportive. She has pushed me to try different products and better ways of marketing my products, which has helped drastically.
