Hi Samaria, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Love is something that I value the most. I believe that love can change the world and love makes a difference in the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The Window of Love is a nonprofit organization founded by Nashville native Samaria Leach in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide daily lunch service to children in Nashville and surrounding areas. During the height of the pandemic, Samaria saw a need to feed her community as schools were shut down and meals were not readily available. Funded by Samaria and donations from her community, the Window of Love averages 50-75 kids a day during the summer and other school breaks. Children are greeted at the window with a smile, a squirt of hand sanitizer, and a packed lunch. Books are also included with the lunches as she encourages 15-20 minutes of reading a day. She also frequently takes her stable group of Window visitors on free field trips to the Nashville Zoo, Adventure Science Center and several museums. By providing the youth in the greater Nashville area with free meals, educational resources, and immersive learning experiences. At the Window Of Love we believe that together we are better and that love is the key to success.

I am so excited to be walking in my purpose and to be a nonprofit business owner.
The journey has not been easy and I still have a lot to learn and I mean a lot to learn. But, I take it one day at a time.

Working with our youth is my passion. But, the business part is something new for me. So, I’m learning how to be a business owner and how to run a nonprofit at the same time.

I have learned to network and to ask for help. You will need help along the way. I have learned that it’s okay to go at a slow pace and it’s not a race.
During, this process I have gain lots of knowledge

I have faced lots of challenges. But, prayer, my support system and using different resources help along the way.

One thing I would like for people to know about the Window Of Love is that it is built on ‘ Love”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I first just want to thank God for giving me the vision to start the Window of Love and for letting me walk in to my purpose. I am so grateful and thankful .

But, I would like to give a shout to some special ladies. Aleshia Beene, Conswala Flemming, Lashonda Price, Monica Loar and Nicole Shannel. These ladies keeps me motivated, encouraged and rooted. They have played such a special part in this journey. Especially when things seem to be rough. I am so blessed to be surrounded by love.
