We had the good fortune of connecting with Sacred Circles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sacred Circles, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Sacred Circles was formed in 2001 by duo Phillip Kanakis and Holly Fischer. Both had been involved in music throughout their lives, and around this time each on their own wanted to delve into mantras and healing music. So coming together to work within Sacred Circles was a perfect match for both of them.

The two began working on several projects, and began embarking on what would lead to over twenty years of bringing healing and Sacred Circles’ music to listeners all across the world.

“From a young age, I’ve always intended to make a difference with any music that I create.” – Phillip Kanakis (Sacred Circles)

“From an early age I have always wanted to make a positive impact for people by using my talents and creative abilities.” — Holly Fischer (Sacred Circles)

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When we first started Sacred Circles we had not thought about how far our music would reach. We simply recorded and created. Within a few weeks of our first release, “In the Company of Monks”, listeners from around the world began contacting us and sharing notable things they were experiencing from the music. People expressed things from sleeping better, help with feeling calmer, and there were other positive improvements others mentioned as well.

“In the Company of Monks” became very instrumental in Sacred Circles’ early career, and eventually garnered interest from several dignitaries, including the former President (and current Prime Minister) of Sri Lanka, the former Prime Minister of Thailand, and the former President of Malaysia.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In celebration of the twenty year anniversary of Sacred Circles’ debut album, “In the Company of Monks,” founding members, Phillip Kanakis and Holly Fischer have teamed up with internationally acclaimed recording artist Dimitris Nezis and celebrated singer/songwriter Nita Perez on a re-imagined version of one of Sacred Circles’ trademarked songs, “Prayer for Peace”, and created a stunning, epic rendition of it.

“I am grateful to have participated in ‘Prayer For Peace -2024 epic version’ because I was given the opportunity to dig deeper within me, and discover a different manifestation of myself and to feel what it is like to perform for world peace: something that is necessary nowadays, more than ever before. I wish this project will touch many souls through its tangible healing, as it deeply touched me, too.” ~ Dimitris Nezis (#1 Charting International Recording Artist)

“I feel so blessed to work with such dedicated and awesome artists on a project like ‘Prayer for Peace.’ I hope others in the world will be inspired to create things within their own talents and abilities that will uplift and benefit others and the world as well.” ~ Nita Perez (#1 Charting International New Age Artist)

“Music is healing… and we are at a crossroads. Every day we have a choice to do what is right, to live in integrity. Future generations will be looking at the choices we make, their world is being shaped by our actions right now. The message of ‘Prayer for Peace’ is needed now more than ever.” ~ Phillip Kanakis and Holly Fischer, founding members of Sacred Circles (#1 Charting International New Age Artist)
