We had the good fortune of connecting with Robyn Frost and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robyn, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’ve always believed that the fear of failure is what keeps so many from doing what they are meant to do in this world. “What if I fall, oh my darling, but what if you fly” has always been one of my favorite quotes to live by. I know if I didn’t chase after my dreams I’d most definitely be miserable and bored. The risk is worth it!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a skincare studio in the heart of Midtown off Music Row. We specialize in clinical treatments such has laser hair removal, clinical facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, spray tans, makeup & hair styling, full body waxing, body contouring and lash lifts and tints! The hardest part of owning a business is taxes unfortunately- and when Covid hit, that was a very scary and tough time, but I wake up full of gratitude every day that my doors are still open and we have survived all the crazy times this world has thrown at us since 2019.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Ryman or Opry- those are always a go-to for shows. I also love Arrington Vineyard, Soho House, Flamingo, 1230 Club, Friends in Low Places (Garth’s new bar), Bar Taco, Barcelona and Urban Grub. For a sporting event, definitely the Titans, Preds, or Soccer game. Radnor lake and Percy Priest Lake are some musts as well just to name a few!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Almost everyone in my family is an entrepreneur. I guess you could say it’s always just been in my blood and I always knew that was what my future would hold. My parents and sisters have always been my biggest cheerleaders and supported me every step of the way. My aunt, Terry Tomlinson, was my first boss in high school- she owns a successful dance studio Nashville Dance Center in green hills and has always been one of the most influential and inspiring people in my life. It takes a village and I have countless people to thank for the helping hands along the way. Heather Hooper has been an angel-sent and has been unbelievably helpful and uplifting to work with and have on my team. My social media team, Nova Social Co., has been so incredible and also all my reps especially Allyson Gregory with Emogene and Co and Christina Stowe with Epionce! It takes a village and I’m very lucky to have mine!
