Meet Rieley Chambers | Founder of Social Haus

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rieley Chambers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rieley, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I love this question. I am crafting my lasting legacy to be known as fair, a hard worker, and a good leader. Being known for wealth, money, and materialistic things don’t matter to me. I want to be known as making people happy with the work that I provide and the way they are treated. It’s also important in the field of public relations and marketing to be known as someone who supports others and doesn’t cause trouble. However, I feel that this comes pretty naturally. I’ve worked in several places where their values didn’t quite add up to mine and it lead to a unhappy, unhealthy workplace.
Digital marketing is a creative agency. Without space for creativity, it’s hard to get day-to-day tasks done. Employees need to work in a space that they’re comfortable in, as it makes an impact on their work. When hiring on people to Social Haus, my number one priority is making sure that they’re a good fit. We have a healthy mindset here at Social Haus, and health is a priority. If your schedule is super jam packed and you’re stressed to the brim – I want a employee who feels comfortable enough to let me know and help them (also I want to help them feel welcome to tell me these things). I am always checking up on my employees tasks, making sure they understand them, and seeing what areas I can help with. With healthy leadership as well, I try to get feedback from my employees and constantly do reflection to make sure I am treating other people as I want to be treated.
Hard work is a cornerstone of businesses and something I want to be known for. I never want to be known as someone who dropped the ball or over-promised and under-delivered, so I try my best to do my best for each client. I usually tell my clients when they’re signing on to a certain plan that it includes the MUST HAVES that I have to get done each month (6 posts per week to socials, 20 stories per mon, etc.) however I usually go above those expectations.
When it comes to my legacy, I also want to make sure I act my morals. I am a strong Christian and want to make sure that people see me acting that way. I never want to lead someone to think that I say that without the actions to back it up.
What should our readers know about your business?
Social Haus is a boutique marketing agency located in Nolensville, Tennessee specializing in health, wellness and lifestyle.
Social Haus aims to expand upon your brand’s personality and create a message that can be shared across all channels rather than posting daily content without meaning. Followers are more than a number. We work to develop brands with an engaging audience, create awareness and define each brand’s personality before beginning any projects.
Social Haus supports companies of all sizes, all backgrounds and who share a love of health, wellness, beauty and lifestyle. Our goal is to fully support a company’s marketing efforts by developing research and specific marketing strategies.
Our mission is to be leaders in the marketing industry with our advanced knowledge of the field, and our endless amount of creativity and passion for clients. We work to inspire others by creating marketing strategies that ignite the mind, move our audience, and offer differentiation, with compelling marketing messages that deliver results.
Surprisingly, beginning Social Haus, wasn’t the hard part. I started this business alone and was able to sign on local clients fairly quickly. I would use personal connections, relationships, or just reach out to owners in the areas. Our approach was a tad different – as instead of simply messaging potential clients via social media, I would show up, in-person to businesses and try to create a relationship while explaining the goals and values of relationships. Clients aren’t just a number – I truly cherish and believe in each and every one of the clients was currently represent. Instead of simply selling our services and explaining what we do until people budge – I like to just give owners and managers time to see what would work best for their business. Honestly, Social Haus may not be the answer to every businesses’ social needs. We work with niche clients to ensure that we best represent you and have a good working relationship.
Some of the challenges we’ve overcome include scaling the business and fully understanding the background of owning a business. I’ve learned to accept help and delegate when something comes up that I’m truly struggling with or need some insight on.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It’s truly a gift when people come to visit! Nashville is a top tourist destination and it’s always a fun time having family and friends visit. To truly show someone Nashville, I would start off with brunch at Liberty Common and enjoy some waffles or bottomless mimosas. I love that area of Nashville, so we’d spend some time shopping around there and sight seeing. Next up – Germantown or 12 South. Probably 12 South so my guest can get a chance to see what locals enjoy instead of going straight to Broadway. It’s always a good time seeing the small businesses around East Nashville and enjoying their services. I think next up we’d go into East Nashville over to see some of the historical homes and eat over at Pharmacy Burgers. For the afternoon, rooftop patio has to be my favorite. LA Jackson is also a fun time or going over to L27. This is such a great way to show people what Nashville really looks like and get away from some of the crowds. And, of course, you have to show visitors Nashville’s Broadway. However, some of the best places on Broadway and the little roads off the side that have all the boots you could ever want, some dive-bars, and, of course, karaoke.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To start off, all of my values and cornerstones come from biblical background and meaning. A lot of people don’t realize that the Bible has education on business, taxes, and relationships – however it does and I make sure to check off those boxes first before making any major decisions. Secondly, my teachers at my university have supported me through my undergraduate and graduate education which has lead me to where I am now. Throughout my graduate program, my thesis director was Tricia Farewell M.D. and she has been such an amazing source of support. She sees things from a different prospective than I do and stays very updated within the marketing field, so I always loved hearing her classes and feedback.
My main mentor would have to be my father. He is also in the marketing world and has been for as long as I can remember. He is someone that others respect and hold to authority – so I take a ton of feedback from him when making major decisions or alterations to my business. He is just a wealth of knowledge and I couldn’t be more thankful for him.
My digital marketer, Kelsey Fogarty, deserves a huge shoutout as well. She has helped this business go to the lengths it has. She is very in tune with the latest trends and also sees social media from a different prospective. Her hard work, dedications, and passion have truly been an asset to Social Haus.
