We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rebecca, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind business success is putting in the hard work. While we are a professionally trained design firm, continuing education is always on the forefront. Since education is important to me and helps us serve our clients well, we go to industry shows and conferences, we read books and take seminars. Personal growth leads to business growth. Being a visionary, it has helped not only in design projects, but also in designing the business I wanted. The type of Design Firm I wanted was one that celebrated our clients and their journey. We work hard to make the process smooth and the experience great! Having a successful brand is cultivating joy inside the company as well. I wanted our business name to reflect the team and they all have significant roles our company. I believe in hard work, but flexibility and respect make for a harmonious work environment.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friend to see the real beauty of our city inside Cheekwood’s art museum & beautiful botanical gardens. I would absolutely grab a walking food tour for us to enjoy the latest culinary eats. I would take my friend to Radner lake to hike, We would venture to Bell Meade plantation to see the rich history and architecture. And the restaurants I would definitely take them to would be Thistle Farms Cafe for lunch and then Ludlow and Prime for dinner.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe that no matter your path, God does not let any of it get wasted. Everything you have learned along the way really makes up who you are and what you can give back to the world. While I have had lots of great experience out of college in the model home design and then in Furniture sales, my most meaningful experience was when my kids were both in school and I started working part time with a Construction firm here in Nashville. I still had my design business, but any Kitchens and Bathrooms we did went through that firm. That firm is still around and they are my dearest friends! Hantel Kitchens and Baths is a family owned construction firm who serve their clients at the highest level. ALL the workers are internal so they can control the quality of work. Founder, Ed Hantel made every day I spent with him a learning experience. He cared deeply about, God, his family, and always making time to those around him to grow. He is retired nowvand his kids are running things, but even they are some of the BEST people I know! I am thankful for their friendship and partnership we still have!
