We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
In my work and in my life, I seek to live by the mantra of searching for what’s true, good, and beautiful. It’s a challenge for my perspective and one that can turn a glass half-empty into half-full. In the context of my work, that means coming along side my clients in whatever season of life they’re in and using photography to highlight the good. One of my clients described it as a visual gratitude journal by picking up your camera and asking yourself, “What can I find that’s beautiful today?”.

If my clients are planning for a wedding or a new baby which are times of celebration and milestones, I look for real glimpses into their lives to document what it truly felt like. Years down the road when we look back on photos we are reminded of how far we’ve come, how quickly life goes by and what a gift it is. That’s the power of perspective and photography.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
“These are not your over-filtered, over-trendy, moody photos. These are your family heirloom, forever, iconic photos you will cherish for a lifetime. Rachel’s photos show you the absolute best version of your real, natural self.” – bride/client

Every season of your life is worth documenting. Planning for a wedding or a new baby can be overwhelming, I’ve been there! I help couples and families celebrate milestones through photography. I offer peace of mind because of my experience over the past 15 years. My work doesn’t stop after the wedding, I grow with my clients. I’ve had the privilege of photographing couples weddings, and then again and again as their family tree grows.

Your photos deserve to be printed and enjoyed in your home. I don’t leave my clients wondering what to do with their digitals, but take care of designing, delivering and installing framed prints for their walls, or photo books for their coffee table. I strive to serve my clients well and give them a full experience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It depends on the time of year! In the fall, we love going on a drive on the Natchez Trace to see the beautiful fall colors. In the summer months of May-Sept., Full Moon Pickin Parties at Percy Warner Park is my favorite event for Bluegrass music. If it’s around Christmas, the Nashville Ballet’s Nutcracker is so magical. For food, Crema is our favorite coffee shop, we love kid-friendly Nectar in Donelson, and Husk or City House would be our favorites for a nice dinner out.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
