We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Slominski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nadia, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe that the most important factor behind the success of Healthy Glow, or any business, starts with someone who genuinely cares. My goal is for my clients to have the best experience possible throughout the entire process, not just for the ultimate outcome of the tan. Especially for someone who is new to spray tanning, this can sometimes be a vulnerable experience since it’s not every-day routine to stand (almost) naked in front of a stranger and have them spray you.

I like to take my time with each client to do a proper skin consultation and to talk about their goals for the appointment, then mix up the formula based upon that individual client. Proper client education is also such an important part of any skincare or aesthetic appointment. Before starting Healthy Glow, I had gone to so many places where the process and procedures weren’t properly explained or there wasn’t enough information on preparation or aftercare given. To me it is important to make clients feel comfortable with the process and feel properly educated about every aspect of spray tanning.

What should our readers know about your business?
I run a small spray tanning salon in Nashville, TN that opened in the Fall of 2020. The first and biggest hurdle for any new business is to stay open and running, of course. This hurdle had been made a bit larger for me since the Covid pandemic was still going on strong at the time. Opening a new business (in a new city – I had just moved to Nashville) during this time proved to be extremely challenging, and I am entirely grateful to have made it through those first few years.

What I’m most proud of is the feeling that I can give my clients after an appointment. Receiving a 5-star Google review or texts and pictures from clients saying that this has been the best spray tan they’ve had or telling me how glowing and beautiful and confident they feel is truly amazing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Places I love to visit in Nashville include taking a hike with my dogs at Beaman Park, and strolling around the 12th South/Gulch area. Some favorite restaurants include Vuis, VN Pho & Deli, Butcher & Bee, and Adele’s. For dessert, I love stopping by a European bakery such as Little Gourmand or Brightside Bake Shop. Admittedly, I probably don’t get out as much as I should – Nashville has so many amazing and unique restaurants and spots, there are definitely still lots more on my list to try!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give a shoutout to Morgan Ebright with Willow Beauty Collective. She is a local hair and makeup artist and specializes in wedding looks. We share many of the same brides as clients for their big day, and Morgan is absolutely amazing… her work is always stunning!
