We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Merino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nadia, how do you think about risk?
I would definitely consider myself a risk taker! I personally work the best under pressure. I see the most growth when I step out my comfort zone. Every time I stepped into the unknown in my life/career I’ve managed to flourish and exceed my own expectations. So if you ask me I’ll always to tell you to step out that comfort zone! That’s where all the magic happens.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I currently make soy wax intention and freestyle candles. As an artist I believe you can spot my work out just based on the style I set fourth for my products. Most of my candles have a floral design, some include crystals with a bit of sparkle and all my candle jars are unique in nature as well. I have all types of designs that make the candle a lot more vibrant and decorative. I also offer a plain alternative for my customers those candles typically come in a tin jar or glass jar. My intention candles are typically used for healing purposes as they contain crystals.

This journey has been interesting I’ve learned and grown a lot throughout the years. I would say I’m really proud of myself for not giving and getting through every challenge and setback with a smile. I really thank god everyday for the strength and vision he has bestowed on me. I’ve learned a lot during this journey what I would say is keep going and never cap your limit. You’re limitless! I want the world to know that Hope Heals is more than just a brand it’s a way of life. I’m hear to help guide people on their journey back to SELF.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely start in my city and go to Old Town and have some lunch by the water. I like virtue so I would go there! I would take her to DC for drinks and maybe hit up a steak house since we have a few in the area. I love museums as well so I would definitely take her to the illusions museum in DC. Later in the week I would take her to a crab bomb spot in Bowie and take her to U street for some bar hopping.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, the only shout out I want to give is to GOD. Without him none of this would be possible. He’s been by my side since day one offering me support and guidance & the greatest love.
