Hi Mark, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Helping new artists be aware of the business side of the Music Business and providing services for no cost or low cost to independent artists

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I first and foremost consider myself a Songwriter but I love performing and recording/producing as well. I’ve been in the music business since I was 18 years old and I’m most proud of still being in it and not only still in it but thriving! Always writing, recording and performing at the age of 56! There’s always something new to learn and something new to strive for.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Everyone knows about Lower Broadway and the Honky Tonks which is a great time! I especially like Robert’s Western World but I always tell me friends to make sure they check out our neighborhoods that surround downtown Nashville. Germantown, East Nashville, Hillsboro Village and of course 12 South where I run the 12 South Farmers Market every Tues from May thru October!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family has always been super supportive of my career so this shoutout goes to them and in Nashville my shoutout goes to my mentor Billy Block and to the Mulch Brothers manager Marie Pizano along with my good friend Jimmy Lawrence at JaJa Music Publishing!
