We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Cestaro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Everything I’ve done to better myself has taken some level of risk. I believe you always need to take a risk but I also believe that you should be well prepared for the outcome after the risk whether that be a positive or a negative. At the end of the day, I wouldn’t be as successful as I am if I hadn’t taken risks.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Certified Life Coach. I focus on elevating ones health, relationships and business performance. What sets me apart is I’m not about marketing my clientele. I’m about working one on one with them in order for them to obtain their success. I only work with a specified amount of people per month so each individual get’s my undivided attention. See the way I was able to succeed was by being focused. It was also by working one on one with Millionaires and learning their every move toward success. So as today’s world is fast paced and looking for instant gratification, I’m looking to peel the onion back layer by layer so that the gratification becomes a lifetime of success and not a here today and gone tomorrow type of success. I remember when I wanted to start my very first business. I didn’t have two pennies to rub together. I was broke and broken. But I had a vision for what I wanted my life to be. There wasn’t one time in my journey that it was easy, but I can absolutely attest to it being worth it. Challenges are inevitable when building your success. I view challenges as a time to grow. That’s my time to become solution oriented so I’m forced to expand on that capacity. Just know, that I had all the chips against me. I was abused as a child, I was in a bad car accident and was told I’d never walk again, I had seizures, I struggled in school and early on I had zero support. I actually had people tell me I’d fail. Don’t allow the naysayers to get in your head or your heart. Know you are the King or Queen of your life and you have everything you need within you to succeed. I promise you, my backstory could have turned my life into a tragedy. It was my strength, determination and love for personal development that got me into the winner’s circle. I’m all about the Breakthrough not the Breakdown.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m born and raised in New York but I am approximately 50 minutes outside of Manhattan. That makes me a country girl. So when friends come through and want to hang out with me for the week, we get to embrace both city life as well as the country life. When we head to the city, we always do a broadway show. There is nothing like it. After, we walk around Time Square or maybe Bryant Park. And for dinner we find a steakhouse with some of the best tasting steaks. When we are hanging out in the country, closer to home, we may go out on the boat cruisin’ the hudson, maybe take quads out and do the trails. Often I also bring people to the Roosevelt Estate for viewing of the grounds and mansion. It’s a piece of history that is breathtaking. And at the end of all of that, we end up having an awesome bbq in the backyard so we can spend quality time with each-other enjoying some drinks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My success definitely had much support behind it but before giving thanks to all my supporters, I want to thank My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without him my level of success would never have been achieved. A huge shoutout to my husband, Frank. Whenever I came up with an idea, he supported it, whenever the season was rocky, he supported me, whenever the success arrived, he supported me. Even when I was having some days of feeling like giving up, he supported the vision. A shoutout to my daughter Mackenzie too. When I had to travel, she would always keep things going for me while I was away. Always one of my biggest cheerleaders through our journey of life and career. And finally, a dear friend, mentor and business partner, Rick Gutman. He added to my success by guiding me on how to push harder, how make more money, how to make my money work for me, how to reinvest my money into multiple streams of income. and most importantly how to get closer to God through it all so that I never let money come before God and Family.
