We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcus Malone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marcus, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my own business to give back to the community by providing affordable music and performing arts education for kids and adults. My goal is to mentor young musicians not just in music, but also in essential life skills. My slogan has always been “Making Musical Dreams Come True.”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is deeply rooted in my faith, and what sets me apart is my unique sound. I’m most proud of the opportunities I’ve created for others to pursue their dreams through my platform. I’m excited about the unknown and what God has in store.

I got to where I am today by trusting God, fasting, praying, and maintaining consistency and professionalism, regardless of the size of the gig. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve overcome challenges by making every moment count and never compromising my integrity for success or money.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way are invaluable, and I want the world to know that if God did it for me, He can do it for you. My brand reflects my heart and passion for serving dreamers.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout God first and foremost for the gift of music. I’m grateful to my mother for letting me make noise at any hour as a child and for believing in me. I also thank my bonus dad for dedicating time to teach me the piano, and I appreciate St. Mark M.B.C for giving me my first opportunity to express my gift. I’m thankful to my dad for investing in my journey, and a special shout-out to my mentor Kurt Clayton for trusting me with my first national opportunity with the legendary group Cameo. Lastly, I thank Greater Works Deliverance Ministries for helping me build a true relationship with God.
