Meet Marc Johnson | Owner & Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marc Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marc, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a career in floral design because I have always been drawn to the beauty and diversity of nature. From a young age, I loved spending time outdoors and observing plants and animals around me. As I grew older, my fascination with nature and design only grew stronger, and I began to explore different ways of incorporating it into my life.

One of the ways I found to do this was through floral design. I discovered that working with natural elements to create something beautiful and unique was not only fulfilling, but also a great way to express my creativity in a medium that I’ve always been infatuated with. I began experimenting with different flowers, colors, and textures and found that I had a natural talent for creating art with flower petals as my paintbrush.

As I delved deeper into the world of floral design, I became increasingly passionate about the intricacies of the craft. I learned about the different types of flowers and their individual characteristics, as well as the various techniques used to care for and manipulate them into something magical.

Being a floral designer allows me to combine my love of nature with my creativity, and to share an interpretation of my mind using the beauty of flowers for the world to see. Whether it’s creating stunning bridal bouquets for a wedding, designing installations for a corporate event, or something completely otherworldly, I feel privileged to have the opportunity to bring joy and beauty into people’s lives.

Pursuing a career in floral design has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made. It has allowed me to combine my passions for nature and creativity while also enabling me to bring happiness to others through my work. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had in this industry, and I think every day about how lucky I am to be able to create for a living. I look forward to continuing to grow and develop my skills as a floral designer.

FIORELLA is a floral design company based in Nashville that stands out with its contemporary approach to floral design. Shannen is an incredible individual who has always believed in me and my passion for floral design. She was one of the very first people who supported my idea of turning my floral passion project into what it has evolved into today. Shannen’s belief in me and my vision gave me the confidence to move forward with my project, and I will forever be grateful for her unwavering support.

I remember the first time I spoke to Shannen about my floral passion project; I was hesitant to share my ideas with her, fearing that she might not understand what I was trying to achieve. However, after listening to me and understanding the passion and drive behind my project, Shannen immediately offered her support and encouragement.

I will never forget the day that Shannen allowed me to sponsor flowers for a holiday celebration for Heels & Handshakes. It was a significant moment for me, and it marked the beginning of my journey towards realizing my dream. That moment turned out to be the catalyst that set me on the path toward success.

In retrospect, I can confidently say that I wouldn’t be where I am today without Shannen’s support and encouragement. Her unwavering faith in me and my project has been instrumental in my success, and I could never thank her enough. I will always be grateful for the role she played in making my floral passion project a reality.
