Meet Maranda White | Pure Romance Distributor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Maranda White and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maranda, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Pure Romance is a company that very invisibly helps the community. Given that a portion of my business surrounds intimacy, many people feel it is taboo or should not be talked about openly. My business givens people an avenue for that safe space to freely talk about their sexual health and wellness. I have completed courses to become certified in sexual health and wellness coaching, and since having started this business I’ve continued to learn and grow in that area every day. I do that because of the importance of it. Numerous people in America do not know enough about their own bodies, and it is not their fault, it is just a topic on conversation that is private and sometimes can be hard to talk about, especially given any traumatic history. I feel it is my job to let people know I am here, especially in my community. Currently, I am the only Pure Romance Distributor within a 50 mile radius of Sparta, TN. I want people to know I am here due to the limited availability!
Many people have preconceived notions about what it is I do. I’m okay with that; I know it is just a part of it. However, when I get a chance to really show that people need my business, and the services it offers, it is truly fulfilling. Not only can I instill self-love, teach self care and how big of a priority it is, and boost self-confidence, I also get the opportunity to enrich relationships. Divorce rates are sky high. Many people don’t realize a tiny bit of effort can make all the difference in their relationships, especially when it comes to intimacy.
Although I do promote in-home parties, ladies nights, and bachelorette parties, I promote myself and my business with a splash of education. I bring the fun of course! However, because of such high demand-low supply within the realm of sexual health and wellness is, I ensure people know I’m coming to show them how to better their lives, learn more about their bodies and how to stay healthy, and keep the fire burning in their relationships. My goal is to truly impact the ones I come in contact with.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I would say I am the most proud of how I handle my business with grace and professionalism. Since my business surrounds intimacy, it is very easy to come across in an unprofessional way. I make sure that is not the case. I promote intimacy products in a tasteful way. I do not ever want what I do to be perceived as vulgar or tacky. This took some learning along the way, but now it is very natural. I overcame this through learning more about Pure Romance as a company and instilling their values in my personal business. I have learned that regardless of my professional business, there are still going to be naysayers and people who think that what I do is not okay. I want people to know that closed mindedness only holds you back in life. Become open minded to the fact that Pure Romance is not tasteless in any way, and that anyone who chooses to purchase a product from me, interact with me on social media, or attend one of my in-home parties, will be met with fidelity, candor, and dignity.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a tough question, because I live in a very small town that is not loaded with many of the things most people have in the bigger towns they live. I live on 30 acres. So my way of showing someone a best time where I live, would be something like riding 4-wheelers around the land! We would go out to the garden and eat some fresh vegetables and fruit, grab some eggs from the chicken coop (because nothing compares to a farm fresh egg), and enjoy a meal outside in the sun! 20 minutes is about how far away I am from the main town square of Sparta. There, we could visit a few of the super cute small town shops and restaurants! One restaurant, Meranda’s Tea Room, also doubles as a small flea market type shop. There is also a wonderful coffee shop next to it called The Coffee Collective we could visit! My number one favorite spot in Sparta would definitely be Happy Trails Brewery. Not only is it a family friendly brewery, but they always hold fun events regularly! I would take us there for one of their trivia nights and/or karaoke!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my mom, Maria. She believed in me when I felt not many others did. I was a teacher for 4 years, and due to a decline in my mental health, I knew I need to take a break. I couldn’t be the wife and mother I wanted to be if I didn’t take care of myself first. My Pure Romance business was just something I did on the side for some extra money. However, as I began considering leaving teaching I realized it was something I could try to pursue full time. I was terrified…. My mom was the one person who never failed to encourage me, and told me to jump in head first. My mom is my best friend.. I couldn’t do much of anything without her honestly. I am extremely grateful to have such a supportive mom who believed I could do this. Now having won my very first award with Pure Romance this past April, it is still shocking the success I have had with my business. She always believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. That award goes out to you.. I love you, mom.
