Meet Macey Corder | Social Media Marketing Agency Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Macey Corder and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Macey, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
When it comes to starting my own business, risk has played a huge factor. In 2022, I decided to leave a job I felt comfortable in and that I had seen early success in at a young age, to take a huge risk and start my own social media marketing agency. I had no idea how many clients I would have, I had no idea all of the business intricates of what it took to get a business off the ground and running, but I knew it was my passion and I felt like I had a push and calling in my life to make the jump and so I did. Because I took the risk, I now feel more rewarded in my career than I ever have before. It is so freeing to know that I set every standard, I get to have a final say in who I choose to work with, and that I get to set boundaries for balance. If I would have stayed comfortable where I was, I would never have gotten to experience the freedom and true joy that I feel owning my own agency.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Ville Social Studio is a local social media marketing agency that works with small businesses to elevate their social media presence and help establish their brand locally. We offer social media management, content creation, social media marketing audits, and newly just added in email and text marketing. I believe what sets The Ville apart from other social media marketing agencies is that we have a very custom approach to marketing your business. We offer custom content for every business we market for. Trends that work for some businesses may not work for others, and so we never just post to post. Every post is planned out, thought through, and posted because it targets your ideal audience and speaks to your potential customers.
I am very hands-on with my clients. I genuinely feel like I am apart of my clients’ businesses, someone that they can truly trust to come in and elevate their business. I am so proud of the relationships I have built with my clients this far, and I can’t wait to continue cheering on them and their business this year.
As I started this business just 6 months ago, I have learned so much already. I am proud of the business owner I have become and every lesson I have learned thus far is just preparing me for all to come in the future. I can’t wait to look back at this time a year from now and see what all The Ville has accomplished.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
What I love about Tennessee, is that you get a little taste of everything! Nashville and it’s surrounding areas offer so much for locals and visitors. I’m a big coffee gal, so I would definitely recommend a few coffee shops to go see. Moonshot Coffee Bar and Honest Coffee Roasters both in the Nashville area. If you travel to Murfreesboro, I would definitely recommend Brasshorn Coffee and Just Love Coffee at The Fountains.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have never made the jump to start my own agency if it wasn’t for my good friend Sue Berry. She has been such a mentor for me during the whole process of starting my own business, as she also owns her own social media agency. She has taught me so much, supported me, encouraged me that I am capable, and answered any questions I’ve had. It’s been amazing to get to have a friend who’s also works in social media marketing so that we can bounce ideas off of each other and support each other while navigating this ever changing industry.
