Hi Louise, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking – taking a risk to me is making the toughest decision not knowing the results or consequences and standing out on faith! 🙏🏾

Taking risks has taken a huge role in why and who I am today! In 2019- I took the biggest risk in my life. I left a good long term job in which I had been on for about 5yrs, to start a life changing career and starting my own business.

I was scared, nervous and not so sure if I was making the right decision. I went from receiving a guaranteed bi-weekly paycheck to not even knowing if I would make enough to even cover my bills. Yet, I was determined to pursue my dream of running my own successful business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my patience, my ability to make people(kids) feel comfortable around me, and my nurturing, caring spirit.

I am proud, I’ve been in business professionally for myself, by myself for 4yrs now (and counting)

I started off braiding hair in high school, from there I went on to braid out of my house. Adults and kids. Today, I focus more on braiding kids hair. All ages, some starting at 1yrs old. Most people in my profession do not have the patience or willingness to braid kids hair.

Along the way, I’ve learned you can’t always please everyone. I try hard to accommodate everyone. But with balancing business and personal life, I’ve learned that boundaries needed to be set. I think telling people No and sticking to certain guidelines has been the hardest for me to overcome.

I can honestly say I DO WHAT I LOVE!! I chose braiding! Seeing little girls walk away with much attitude and confidence when they are leaving is the reason I am still here!!

GOD!!! The Greatest, I give HIM the most praise 🙌🏾 Without HIM, none of this would be possible, HE has paved this journey for me. I wouldn’t have made it this far without HIM by my side!! I’m Blessed and forever grateful for HIS guidance 🙏🏾 along the way!!

My awesome fiance’ he gave me the push I needed. His support, his patience , his advice and just him believing in me means so much to me. Im so thankful for you!! 🤞🏾

A few amazing Family and Friends whom helped with my kids. There were days I needed to work late, days I couldn’t pick my kids up from daycare and days I just needed a break, they have literally came through for me when I’ve needed it!!! There’s a few I could name, but they know who they are ,
I really appreciate y’all!! 💯

Last but not LEAST my beautiful and loyal clients!!! Each and every one of you. From the old ones to the new ones! From the oldest to the youngest!! Y’all are why I keep pushing!! Y’all’s trust and faith in me, means a lot!! Thanks to each of you!! 🩷
