Meet Lori Rayne

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lori Rayne and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lori Rayne, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand, I will always say, is my never ending desire to be as authentic to myself as possible.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Getting to where I am as a musician has not been an easy road, but it hasn’t been as difficult as some people have had it in their journey either. I am fortunate enough to have a support system in the people I hold near and dear to my heart. Even with the support though, I have had the journey in finding myself as an artist and leaning into some of the factors that make me unique, one of those factors is being a black female country singer. I’m proud to be a country singer, and proud to be a source of representation for some people. I got to where I am by connecting with people that believe in my vision and having those people elevate what I envision in my brand instead of taking away from what I want to represent. In this journey, I learned that is a very important thing.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my best friends visit the city frequently. One of the number one things we must do is go get some food. The Redheaded Stranger and Hawkers never disappoint with one of my friends in particular. Hanging out at Up Down is also one of my favorites. Honestly, me and my friends are pretty chill when it comes to hanging out and everything, but those are for sure some of my favorites. Oh and if one of my friends is playing music, we definitely have to swing by and show support as well!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I just want to give a shoutout to my team as a collective. Without my village, I’m not sure how far I could go with this amazing journey!
