We had the good fortune of connecting with London Elixir and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi London, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
I don’t subscribe to the “No Days Off” mentality—for both physical and spiritual reasons. Our bodies need rest, and if we don’t allow them time to reset, they’ll eventually force us to. Prioritizing our physical and mental well-being is essential, especially for entrepreneurs. When your livelihood depends on your own efforts, it’s easy to fall into the trap of working nonstop out of fear of missing an opportunity or feeling like you’re not doing enough. But that kind of mindset isn’t sustainable, and it’s not a healthy way to live.

Faith also plays a huge role in how I run my business. I believe that what God has for me is already mine, and I don’t have to exhaust myself trying to force things into place. Even God rested on the seventh day, and I’m nowhere near as powerful a creator as He is. He also commanded us to observe the Sabbath and keep it holy. While different people may interpret that in various ways, the key takeaway is that rest is something God intends for us to embrace. Taking time to pause reminds us that the world keeps moving without us, gives God room to work on our behalf, and shows us that it’s not solely on us to make everything happen.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the founder of The London Elixir Company, a music production house specializing in sync licensing and custom music for TV, film, and advertising. What sets us apart is our ability to craft music that not only meets the creative vision of a project but also is easy to clear. Our music has been placed with major networks and brands like CBS, Netflix, ESPN, and Disney+, and I take pride in delivering high-quality, one-stop tracks that are ready for licensing.

Getting to where I am today was far from easy. As an independent entrepreneur, I’ve had to learn the ins and outs of the music industry while also wearing multiple hats—producer, business owner, DJ, and educator. There were times when doors didn’t open as quickly as I wanted, but I refused to let rejection define me. Instead, I built my own opportunities, nurtured relationships, and kept showing up. One of my biggest lessons? Consistency, integrity, professionalism, and faith will take you further than talent alone.

What excites me most is the continued growth and impact of my work. I’ve independently secured placements in award-winning shows and films, including HBO’s Golden Globe and Critics Choice winner “The Penguin”, 5-time Oscar award winning film “Anora”, Hulu’s Reasonable Doubt and more! I’ve also had the honor of sharing my expertise on various sync panels including NAMM, one of the biggest music industry events in the world. From educating independent artists about sync licensing through my Sync or Swim Experience, to rocking live events and viral Tik Tok sets as a DJ, I’m always looking for ways to inspire and uplift others.

I want the world to know that my brand is built on faith, perseverance, and creativity. My journey is proof that success in music is possible without a major label—and I hope to help other artists achieve the same.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have heard of a place called “Beat The Bomb” but I have not had a chance to check it out yet. I would love to do that. As far as food, I have to take them to Slutty Vegan, American Deli and Milk and Honey! We could also catch a Braves or Hawks game!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people I’d love to shout out! My mom, who has been endlessly supportive from day one. My team, CoCo LMOJ—they are my execution cheat code, helping bring my visions to life. My first music production mentor, Joey Gurwin of Columbus, Ohio, who instilled invaluable business knowledge in me. My two best friends, Cavon and Alex, who have been by my side through every step of this journey. And, of course, God—because without Him, none of this would be possible!
