Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
A year and a half ago I decided to quit my job, close my business, packed a small U-Haul and moved to Florida. It was time. I had lost both my grandmother and my mother within a few months of each other; my children were grown and living their lives and I realized that I only had myself to take care of. And that is exactly what I needed. Now, this wasn’t a very popular decision. Funny how women are considered “selfish” when they finally choose themselves. So, I moved to The Gulf Coast and found peace on the water. It’s my favorite place to be. I started dating a man who has a dream of completing America’s Great Loop. I had no idea what that meant, but I did some research and found it intriguing. Now, here we are living out our Great Loop Adventure! As of this writing, we are preparing our vessel for a mid-December departure. “Sea Rose” is a 42’ Marine Trader built in 1985. I am looking forward to seeing our country from a different perspective. Exploring, adventuring and pushing my limits. I know that it won’t be easy, but nothing worth while ever is.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots are beaches. Being on the water. Funky Tiki Bars. with live music.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The person who helped shape me is my Grandmom, Rose. Everything good that I am, is because of her.
