We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsey, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
My morning habits are where my day gets started on the right foot. I used to wonder why so many CEOs swear by 5 am wake-up calls. Now, I get it! It’s a game-changer. Those quiet hours before emails hit are pure gold – perfect for tackling important tasks with a fresh mind. Plus, it frees up afternoons for quality time with my husband and pups. To top it all off, I recently started ice bathing. It sounds crazy, but it’s true – it’s helped me become calmer and more collected, not to mention giving me a natural mood boost.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned comes from the book 10x is Greater than 2x. It essentially says to invest in the right people and we have the right people. Our team is kind, passionate and focused on providing Nashville with the best skincare routines and, so am I. Struggling with acne my whole life I know how time consuming, disappointing and uncomfortable spa treatments can be. Our mission is for our clients to leave happier, confident and excited to take care of their skin with our support.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oasis Face Bar, of course. As well as all the lovely businesses at Edgehill Village, 12 South, Germantown and East Nashville. Some of my favorites are Urban Cowboy, The Dive Motel, Schulman’s, The Fox Bar & Cocktail Club, Pure Sweat Sauna Studio, Bartaco, Five Daughters, The Optimist, Golden Slipper, Red Headed Stranger, Epice..and the list goes on and on because Nashville is the absolute best. There is so much to see and do and so much incredible talent and wonderful people with lots of small business energy. You really can’t go wrong.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My partner, George, who is also an entrepreneur has been encouraging me from day one as well as Oasis Franchise Founder, Molly. They both are always there when I need to be reassured that, in fact, I can do this because, y’all, imposter syndrome is real and there are always going to be days of incredible accomplishment and days of incredible doubt and fear. Having just one person (if you’re lucky, two) who you can turn to who wholeheartedly believes in you is invaluable when starting and running a business. My BrainTrust vault and, my three happy puppies who are always happy to see me. The importance of the support from those around you should never be taken for granted.
