Meet Lenzie Mabe | Owner of SparklesandBubblyEvents

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lenzie Mabe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lenzie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Sparkles and Bubbly Events was started to help couples in what ever stage of the planning they are in. With owner Lenzie coming from a venue background, she saw so many things from different planners/ coordination teams over the years. Many of those tasks that were not being offered by the companies, but very much needed tasks on wedding day. In starting the planning business, we knew we wanted to include many things that we saw were necessary for the couple and their families to stress less.

Over time, sparkles and bubbly events has added on rentals and bartending services to allow a one stop shop aspect, and our couples really value the convenience.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I studied at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in Business. I do believe that the studies throughout my collegiate years has helped me throughout starting this business and still helpful to this day. The journey has not been easy along the way. Building a business from the ground up is definitely not easy, especially when you are still working another full time job.
After a few years into the business, and word of mouth, our business has been able to have the availability to book even more weddings. Lessons along the way are to keep pushing through, even when times may get tough and the goal seems impossible.

At times, there were challenges – but I was able to leave my job and fully pursue this business and career, and it had been so rewarding!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Chattanooga- there are so many fun and
Adventurous things to do. So many local restaurants: Tremont Tavern, Taco Mamacita, Mayan Kitchen. Adventures- hiking, tourist spots such as- the aquarium, the chestnut street walking bridge. There are many local shopping boutiques as well!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout Nikki Rozzell, who was my previous venue manager. She took a chance on hiring me- even though she knew the end goal and dream was to own my own planning business. I appreciate her hard work ethic and showing me the ins and outs of anything she could wedding/ event related. I would also like to shoutout and show my appreciation to my better half Tyler. The business was fairly new when we started dating, but he has always been supportive and pushing me in the best way. He is very much involved in helping, in anyway he can with all things business.
