Meet Krista Parks | Spiritual Coach & IFS Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Krista Parks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Krista, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing about my industry that outsiders may be unaware of is how difficult it is to “market” yourself. When I work with clients we get into very deep, profound, and personal work… a lot of which is still stigmatized to talk openly about, if at all. And it’s definitely not an easy thing to make look like “fun” or easy… no feel better fast schemes here! Someone’s growth, spirituality, and healing is very personal and it’s so important to find a guide that you can trust and are aligned with. I think we’ve made strides recently in speaking more openly about these topics but still feel like we have a ways to go.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
After selling my business focused on physical health and healing, I now focus on working with clients on a more mental, emotional and spiritual healing capacity. I mainly work with people who have been “doing all the right things” to be successful but dont feel successful and fulfilled in life. They know there’s more to their life… a better way than the story weve been told will “make us happy”. I am an IFS practitioner so I do private sessions working with all “parts” of a client but I infuse these sessions with spiritual practices and embodiment exercises to really connect back to your body and your true self. Society has a way of detracting us from all these things so it lights my soul on fire to be able to help so many people back to this true nature of themselves. I basically teach what I’ve had to learn myself. The work I do with my clients is so personal to me, as its all of the work I’ve done with myself… and still doing, still learning. I know that it’s hard work, it’s scary sometimes, and we’re not taught to give ourselves permission to take time to heal ourselves in this way. It’s not always easy but the work ive done with myself allows me to be a grounded, safe space for others. I’m on a profound mission to help people realize their full potential and actually feel fulfilled in this life. We all deserve that.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Tennessee is an eclectic little place 🙂 Definitely a foodie town and I tend to eat healthy but the BBQ in memphis cannot be beat! Stop by Rendevouz or Central BBQ but then follow it up with a healthy dinner at City Silo!
I am an outdoors girl so head east towards Nashville for tons of waterfall hikes between Memphis and Nashville!
And for a night out you cant go wrong with Midtown Memphis or The Gulch in Nashville, you’re sure to catch some live music at either place… but don’t stay out too late because both cities are BRUNCH hotspots!!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many people deserve credit in my journey and success! I’ve read tons of books, hired several business coaches, amazing employees, and fabulous clients who ALL have played a part in my personal and professional life. I love this question because in 2017 I started an intentional gratitude practice and I absolutely love taking time to feel so much gratitude for the people in my life. Knowing my strengths and weaknesses has allowed me to really learn from so many people and rely on them throughout my last few business endeavors. Huge thank you to all my people… you guys are the best!
